Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
Might explain why Kangertech released its first temperature controlled mod without even bothering to make sure the temperature control functions in it worked properly. Utterly inexcusable for a manufacturer of Kangertech's status in the industry. Never been a fan, but really had high hopes for that device. Works great as a Kanthal mod but torches stock nickel coils very easily if you are not careful.

Kangertech's status in the industry is much more about their tanks than their mods. I always avoid their mods because they are essentially very new in that area.

They have nowhere near the experience of many other mod manufacturers and i have never been impressed with any mod they have released.

Their tanks have always been considered very good by most .

So after a month and a half of waiting for FastTech to send me the replacement of the bad battery pack for the DX200 they sold me these idiots email me that the battery pack is now discontinued and they want to cancel my order for the battery pack and refund me $45.00!

Absolute worst customer service I have ever seen!

You still have the other half still don't you? So what are you supposed to do with that?

Good @&$#&%$ Lord really? I guess the upshot is you'll be $45 richer. Unless they plan to drop a new pack is there anyway you can get your old back? Maybe install a far better 900mah.

On a different note: I'm happy that I have a functional DX200 again even though it's been out of my hands longer then actually using it.

Sent them a rather terse reply. See what happens when a competent rep gets a hold of it. Anyone know the name of a competent customer service rep at FT?

Since it's useless without the battery/battery compartment and you have waited an extreme amount of time. I say it's time to contact Paypal or the bank that issued the card you paid for it with and initiate a charge back for the whole amount of the device. That's just beyond ridiculous.

At the very least, I would tell them that's what I was going to do unless they refund me the whole amount or substitute something of equal value. I've found once you let them know you aren't fooling around, they become a lot more reasonable.

Cheers,
Steve

Already expressed in my terse reply, but they have delayed beyond pp time limits and paypal will just rule I have to return entire mod at my cost before issuing refund.

I believe the time limit for Paypal charge-backs is now 180 days and last I knew FastTech has a center in Florida where goods can be returned (I had to do that myself with a malfunctioning mod a couple of years ago). I'm not being argumentative, just trying to give you options. Good luck!

Cheers,
Steve

Yeah, at this point returning the entire mod will not be the worst thing to happen on principle alone. I've got other dna200 and would probably end up giving this to a friend anyway if I ever get them to do the right thing. We will see what they say on Monday I guess.
I was about to say might as well since your this deep down the river without a paddle. Already been quite a long time without a mod what's another month?

I'd be interested in the dual 18650 addition, as long as it's not $50. Really it's just a sled in a compartment. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from them jumping the price of the extra Lipo from $23 to $45 when most people needed them because they were shipped severely discharged Lipo's in the first place.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit We were typing at the same time. Great minds and all that jazz lol

From Hotcig directly and probably the only place it will happen. But from their recent email $50 for the 1300 mAh pack and $25 for the dual 18650 attachment.
