I ordered one, not sure why, but can't hurt. I'm not even using the one I have, too many mods.
Might be a good selling point if I go that route.
Too many mods, nah.... that can't be a thing! I never intended to jump on a DNA200 for quite some time but I honestly liked this particular type. I would/will be purchasing another pack anyways just to have laying around.

Could you please share your source of $41.80 battery shipped? I tried www.hotcig.net but it seems to be inaccessible.

Looks like spare batteries now available from our favorite supplier . . .

Less than 24 bucks.

Hopefully we can see some different colors in the coming weeks for sure. I can still dig the black no questions asked. Anywho I've been in contact with Hotcig over my bad cell and honestly hope that I can get a replacement battery. At least if its an option and the last thing I want to do is send the whole unit back to FT if it can be avoided. Despite this crap for my battery I really do like this device quite well.

Did you try to revive the dead battery with the supplied charger?
I've received my DX200 yesterday with cell 2 nearly dead, 0.2V. The other was 2.1V.
I've tried recovery charge via EScribe but no go. Then i put it on the delivered charger for 10 minutes and boom...
All cells had 3.4V :D
So i've revived my bad cell and then i've charged normally. Since then my mod runs flawlessly.

I've got a charger on the way for when I get whatever mod I end up getting as the supplied doesn't inspire confidence and a friend that's into rc stuff looked at it and laughed told me all I needed to know. Now spare battery's can be had cheap from fasttech this mod has moved back onto my possible list.

I gave it one more go and put it back on usb recovery charge over night. When I got up it was at 3.96V so I said screw it I'll put it on the Turnigy E3 I had bought. The process took quite a long time but the end result was it came back! Threw it on device monitor and my total charge came to 9.85 Wh and was skippy with the result. I cycled the recovery charge, charger, to drained 3 times when it finally came back so I guess 3rd times a charm.

Edit: the pack never over heated nor expanded from charging

When mine arrived, connected to escribe and updated to latest released firmware, checked cells 1.67v-1.75v-1.78v.
Went right to usb recovery and cells came right up.
I've been into RC for quite a few years and feel confident in this batt.
Had a lot worse unbalanced and lower voltage which i've charged and used for years with no problems for my RC gear.
Some batts showing 0v, used recovery charge on my pro-chargers, came back fine.
Kept an eye on those batts for a while, but no problems.

Ordered 2 spare batts from FT
Will run batt analyser on all batts when the others arrive from FT.
Getting my dummy-load together now.

I will be looking forward to the Battery curves, saves me the trouble.

I've asked gear best if they will honor my previous pricing. They lost the order when a couple weeks went by and nothing happened. We will see what they say. Their coupon is no longer valid but it is $20 less there.

Doesn't fast tech price match to other Chinese manufacturers.

Honestly at this price you really gotta want removable batteries to pay that much and deal with the flat battery and other inconsistencies. Once you're st $170 + a host of mods is available for 20-30 more.

Does MAP not work any more as a discount? Either way that would make sense then. Absolutely can't stand gearbest as they never refunded me on a purchase back in April when the mod failed a week after arriving. But that's an isolated event I suppose and feel FT (despite the prices) are less painful to deal with.

"MAP" takes it down to $124.....still...$44 off.

MAP is not discounting the battery either. Put it in my cart but didn't place the order as I was still trying to come to a conclusion with customer service on the bad battery I got. If they wanted the while mod to be RMAed, I was going request a refund & only order 1 spare. Now I'm tempted to return both mod as a result of this gouging.

I think Gearbest is even worse. I opened a ticket on my Hotcig sending them a picture of the broken wooden box (when I opened the package, the mod wasn't even in the box). I also let them know the battery came severely discharged. I explained to them that means it's been compromised. I asked for directions to return it to their USA warehouse for a refund. Their counter offer was 20GB points, which equals 40 cents. I sent them a reply saying that offer was irritating/insulting and reiterated my original request. I'm debating if I want to wait for their reply or just contact PayPal. This very well may be my last GB order.

Cheers,
Steve
