I feel as if most house blend vapor shop eliquid is not up to par with the products they sell from other companies. I've always raised an eyebrow at them. How does house blend juice work? Do they just create the eliquid, put the nicotine in it, and throw it on a shelf? I feel like it isn't as good as most of their other liquid from other companies. Am I crazy? Let me know.

House blends are usually very simple liquids. They usually have only one flavor, at most two. Also, hopefully they have been mixed in a clean room, but many haven't been so that can contribute as well.

I've seen vape shops literally pull out some dirty syringe from a drawer and mix the 15mL or 30mL right on the counter in front of the customer.

For me the choice is between liquid from major makers or DIY. I am more sure of what I'm getting when I mix it myself, and it's about $1.50/30ml. I figure my mixing practices are at least as good as any of the shops. Not a lab, but clean and careful.

I see a lot of shops down south have walls full of 16oz squeeze bottles full of premixed juices that they mix for you right there. Kinda cool until I took a closer look and those less popular flavors are in dusty bottles and I get the shivers thinking wow they probably dont cap that stuff at night. My wife is in food science and I think sugars in a warm environment open to air for months of time is gross and no bueno. Im sure most use GLP but it worried me and I bought a driptip instead.

House blend JUICE FOR THE MOST PARTS IS exactly THE SAME THING YOU MIGHT GET FROM A major SUPPLIER/MFG.
Funny how people who are positive the BIG tobacco and Pharma companies are out to kill their customers. Prefer the BIG juice maker to the small batch maker of a BM.... Forgetting that the BIG Juice co, they are ordering from on the NET. may just be a small BM store, selling HOUSE blends on the WEB, or maybe Philip Morris.

I know, I like to support the small guy every time yet I have tried thousands of house flavors and I hate to say 90% are boring and much less enjoyable than what I mix at home. I tend to stick with the high end bottles if not my own concoctions. I realize and hope that more expensive high end stuff comes from a small fry down the street though. If the mixmaster pays for a nice label and glass bottle than I hope at least a few testers and told the guy, hey this is great stuff you should sell it.

Yeah, it was questionable at best. lol Needless to say I didn't try any of their juices.

I don;t blame you one bit LOL

Yeah I hear ya. I've already started setting up a mixing room at my place so it's separate. Wood working is a hobby of mine and I've already built one cabinet for my ingredients with pyrex shelves (which will be cleaned well regularly) to maintain a sanitary environment in it. It also has a section with drawers for the equipment. I'm also building a separate cabinet for my completed juices, and already have the mixing station built as well, which has a pyrex top. I'll take some pics and upload them when it's all finished.

Uuummm... I hope that drip tip was in a sealed package.... LOL

There's a difference here. No one is saying they won't buy a stores house blends. They are saying it depends on the practices of the shop. I prefer to eat at little mom and pop restaurants than big franchise places. But I'm not gonna eat at a mom and pop restaurant where they never clean their equipment and the cook is sweating into and dropping hairs into the food.

The only way you can know how your juice is handled is to make it yourself. Could be that high end juice you just paid $1.00 per ml for, was made in someones bathroom. Highly doubtful but how can you know for sure.

Same as food products though, eating out, what you drink, loads of things... it's just the way it is.

This has been my experience. DIY was an eye-opener for me - stuff I thought they were "mixing" turned out to be a single flavor.

Premiums tend to have more flavors in them, which may also need time to steep so the flavors can properly marry.

I hear you, and you are agreeing with me with your point. Except that some of the best food in the world comes from some pretty dingy kitchens. Mom doesn't give me a refund when i find a hair in the soup. Not to mention Dad out at the Barby.

I am the opposite. I find nothing special about 99% of "Premium" e-liquid flavors. Unless the "Premium" liquid are using NET's or other natural flavor extracts, there isn't anything that a well run and well stocked B&M can't duplicate with a little trial and error.

My wife has managed a local B&M for about year and half now and has become quite good at replicating "premium" flavors. Saves us money, because when she finds a premium with a blend she likes, she just makes her own.

FWIW, I'd put the quality of her store's liquids up against anyone's, not only in flavor buy in terms of care in production. Of course, they could be an exception.....
