Seems all/most of the other big flavor houses have their own thread but nothing recent for Flavorart. What's up with that lol. When I saw Busardo's visit there and learned that Flavorart makes flavors specifically designed for vaping, I immediately became interested.

Do we have any heavy duty Flavorart users here on ECF? Post up your reviews, recipes, questions and answers. I know literally nothing other than they make flavors with vaping as the intended use. But that alone should make this flavor house very interesting (I hope).

We all know that flavoring for vaping started out as flavoring for food. It was for the most part weak for e-cigs and usually needed a very high percentage to be any good. Now that vaping is becoming main stream many companies are formulating flavoring specifically for vaping which is far more concentrated then food flavoring. I think a dedicated thread for flavoring exclusively made for vaping is a good idea.

Yep, props to FlavourArt for doing all the right stuff for vaping.

I'm slowly wading through the old Pure Vapes thread.

It seems FA has a something of a reputation as difficult to work with because they're so concentrated and in many cases, you only need a very low single digit percentage. As someone who likes lightly flavored juices to begin with and cuts just about all his vendor juices 50% with unflavored, or drips them into a bottom-fed RDA with unflavored juice in the squonk bottle, I'm thinking about buying a bunch of FA samples and pre-diluting them 10:1 with my usual 35pg/65vg/15nic unflavored that I mix in bulk. I figure that will make it easier to make up small batches of various people's recipes to try.

Diluting some of the fa flavors makes sense like torrone, blackberry, espresso, condensed milk. These flavors are wickedly powerful. I love the condensed milk in small doses. Very authentic flavor

Just wondering what kind of percentages you are using Condensed Milk at?

I am down as far a 0.15-0.2% in some recipes. I steep for a minimum of 2 weeks (4 weeks more commonly).

I started off with 1% and that was absolutely foul, then 0.6% which was pretty rough too. 0.2% seems to be far better, but after 2-3 weeks I find it is still a bit harsh tasting initially, then it is fine after a few vapes.

I don't like to use EM, but I have found that if a recipe with Condensed Milk is still tasting harsh then adding 0.5-1% EM really calms it down, but I would rather not have to mute it like that.

FA - Coconut
Mixed fresh (1-4%) the taste is sweet, sharp and tangy, not really tasting like coconut at all.
For me it only tastes good after 6 weeks of steeping, the true delightful coconut taste comes through, the sweet tangy taste is gone and it becomes smooth and light tasting, mainly on the exhale and slightly lingers on the palate.
Not an 'in your face' flavour, but more subtle.

For me it mutes other flavours despite not being particularly potent, seems to kill fruits too. Good with creams though.

Anyone else got some observations of FA Coconut?

I add it in drops it isn't really even enough to be a percentage. I am talking about the old kichen line one that has bad stuff in it. Haven't messed with the new one yet (though i have it). and I find the strong taste does steep out after a couple weeks. I started with 10 drops in a 120ml batch of custard and that was WAY to much. It adds an awesome sweetness to it. I am going to try making a Thai coffee with it but haven't gotten around to that yet.

From those figures that is about 0.167% (1 drop = 0.02ml), so it looks as though the old condensed milk is a similar strength to the new one.

I an interested to hear what you think of the newer version and whether you think it still has the awesome sweetness etc, for me it adds something, but I am not sure what it is. I have a couple recipes with it steeping, so hopefully I will be able to describe it better soon.

I've only tried 2 FA flavors. Royal and 7 Leaves Ultimate. Both tobaccos. Royal is a light, slightly sweet Virginia type tobacco flavor with a hint of mint (but not menthol) to it. 7 Leaves is a blend of 7 different tobaccos. 7 Leaves by itself isn't something I can vape. Mixing it with equal parts of Royal though makes a nice blended tobacco. 5% each with 5 drops/10 ml of TFA Kentucky Bourbon is a good mix. I also have an RY4 made with them that is pretty good.

Just moving into the FA flavorings. Playing with the custard. It is a less buttery and less vanilla flavor than CAP. Nice for mixing with fruits and such if you don't want the butter/vanilla in there.

FA Custard is definitely different than a lot of others out there , most people i know use it to compliment other custards.

I have a good amount of FA Tobacco's that i haven't touched for over a year now , just never found recipes that contain just FA stuff , there is always a tobacco from another vendor or two that i don't have so i just leave them alone.

I have 7 Leaves, Maxx Blend, Tuscan Reserve, Cuban Supreme, Virginia , Desert Ship , Black Fire, Cam T Ultimate, Oriental 4 , Inawera Virginia Absolute, Red USA mix and USA mix i believe by Dekang (not sure) , TFA RY4 Double , TFA Tobacco flavor 227 and M type blend and Red Type Flavor.

Last but not least i just got Hangsen Elder Captain and i think i like that one the most.

The ones i can't even smell without almost vomiting are FA Desert Ship, Maxx Blend and TFA's 227 and M Type Flavor, the ones i like the most are Elder Captain, FA Cuban Supreme, FA Cam T Ultimate, TFA Red Type Flavor (most like a Marlboro) and FA Virginia.

I think i am not a fan of "Turkish" type tobacco's since i hate "Desert Ship" which is one of FA's most popular.

I was hoping this would become a popular thread, as I've got an ever-growing inventory of FA flavors, but am finding it difficult to find recipes that are FA-only. I'm all for substituting FA for other companies in recipes, but I'm too new to this to know how to adjust percentages based on relative strength.

Maybe someone can help me with this one. There's an e-juice I purchased recently called PearChi, the description of which read "pears, lychee, & berries. I've got pear and lychee (no berries except straw), and would appreciate suggestions as to percentages. (Bull City says start at 1% for both).

I found this recipe on another thread here (I'd credit them if I could find it again). There's no company given for the flavors, but I thought it might serve as a starting point, at least for the ratio of pear:Lychee.

5% pear
3% lychee
2% coconut
3% bavarian cream.

At least for a first batch, I'm going to skip the coconut, and cream isn't what I have in mind. Do the fruit percentages look OK? Should I adjust them to account for the lack of coconut/cream? Any educated guesses are welcome and would be appreciated.
