Slayer had recorded first so they had to change their name to S.A.(San Antonio) IMO Tech. superior in everyway to Slayer

On To Watchtower, circa !989. Still feared and worshiped as Gods in Germany today, I think they have a shrine,lol!At 3:05 in this track one of the most awsome solos? ever, still to this day my jaw drops.One of the best metal albums that will ever be made. Ron is the hendrix of prog metal . He makes his own guitars and chords!!

The older I get the further back in time I go. The band I play drums in (Saturnalia Temple, was listed among the 100 most evil bands in Terrorizer's "The Devil's Music" special issue ) is very 60s/70s. Trio, everything's recorded live with no overdubs. I do like modern stuff as well, but it needs to be as undoctored as possible. A good drummer can do 260 bpm blast beats without needing to have it corrected in post-recording, some errors are essential in the guitars, and having it sound organic is key
