How are the LR 801's being used?

Are you using the LR 801's with drip tips only like the LR 510 or can you use a cartidge with them with out burning it like you do with the 510. I have a new one here lr801 that i'm dieing to try but haven't got my drip tip for it yet. I never realized how big theses 801's are.

I use all my LR attys with carts. I have had no problem with using them with carts. I drip sometimes, but not very often and all I use are LR attys!!

For you guys 7 Gals that dont understand some things about these LR's they run at double the power @ 2 Amps draw vs reg 510 running at 1 Amp therefor they will run down your Batts faster, also the Ego-650 mAh or Riva 750 mAh both using 3.1v seem to work very well with these LR's also a high Drain 18650 AW batt will work well for the LR, just trying to help out here and give some of my findings

for you new people that are just starting to use the new low res attys....make sure they stay moist and wet. i saturate mine. but i like the LR801 much better than the LR510... the 801 LR are totally amazing. i need to get more.

So from my experience a cart does not keep a LR510 wet enough. I'm going to assume it's the same with the 801. have to drip on it.

well i will agree with you on this. many people will say they dont have problems and they have a certain cartridge mod they use and it works fine. i had used the blue foam dart and it works ok. nothing great. at first it was excellent but guess i lost my interest cause i really got tired of fiddlin with carts. so on cartridges i drip with excellent results. most other times i am using the new 510 cartomizers that are just fantastic.
if your interested in the blue foam mod i cant find the url so hope someone can post this for you. best of luck to you and just dont go nuts on this. the idea is to vape not keep fiddlin around trying to make something work. This is my opinion. so i use the low res attys, new 510 cartos, kr808 cartos (new ones) and of course the greencig cartos. good luck

Thank's cos! Yeah I'll stick to dripping with LR atties. I've had none of the problems other people are complaining about with the short life span. In fact I still have the original one going strong that came with the woddy thats going on two months old and two others not far behind in age. I use them all the time on the 18650 with a woddy and with the 14500 on a dse905. tried a cartridge once withthe ptb mod and it didnt keep it wet enough..Looking forward to trying the 801!

And Cos your absolutly right on these new cartomizers they kick and stay cool.I've had the 510 carty on my woody all week. love it! but I have to say I like the flavor better on 3.7 with the 18650 bat rather than 6v, and i would think the oppisite wth 3.4 ohm. haven't tried the new 808's yet. Thats in my next order with a 801 drip tip and some of the new octane flavors and I want to try the Greencig carts to.

Ditto here, the 510 cartos on the Xshaler with the UF battery rather than the AW high drain is how I prefer them. I do initially start them at 5V to 'wake' them a bit and then run at 3.7V.

I just use the whistletip that comes with the 801 and drip it. I'm finding lately that I would rather use a 510 carto than mess with PTB's or blue foam mods anymore, they are that good that I leave the LR attys off and use them when I can't drip. That reminds me, I need to order some more.
