I take your point trog but disagree.

The only way forward for me is with the big companies and good guarantees as these things as you say are pretty unreliable.

Only time will tell

the product costs a fortune so u only buy one.. when it goes wrong as its guaranteed to do u are cig less.. u send it back.. they send u another one.. the process repeats for ever in theory..

a good expensive company would give u a free e g cig with every twenty five carts u purchase.. they can afford to when they charge 22,000 dollars a gallon for e liquid..

i do know the problem thow.. too many people are buying things they know absolutely nothing about.. what can they do but trust the big boys and believe the "you get what you pay for principle"..

too many people also have the mistaken idea that a business has a duty to its customers.. in years gone past perhaps.. but now the duty is to the shareholders.. the customer is there simply to extract as much money from as they are daft enough to part with... there is no such thing as a fair price for anything.. simply what the market will bear..

but in a world where people really do buy things they know nothing about in large numbers what else can they do but put their trust in someone who's sole job is to milk them for everything they are worth..

some folks judge the value of things by how much they pay for it.. some like me judge the value of things by what they do.. one thing is clear.. both types will never agree.. he he he

its a funny old world and thats for sure..

We've disagreed on this many times before. We still do. How can you continue to reward companies that provide you with failed products from the outset -- and no customer service or guarantee? Don't call smart consumers "fools" when they bypass your brand of consumerism. Your practice encourages the crap companies every bit as much as you say others' practices encourage price gouging. As for how you do it, been there, done there, and never again. Who's the fool? 'nuff said on this repetitous bit of nonsense.

I agree with points on both sides of you guys' arguments. I think the bottom line is these companies selling expensive e-cigs have to get on the ball and redesign them to be more permanent, or switch over to disposables. If e-smoking catches on there is no way they would be able to keep up with hundreds of thousands of people returning burnt out atomizers every month. I am kind of torn. I don't want to spend 100-150 dollars on a device that I know has a pretty short lifespan, but at the same time I know that after buying half a dozen more generic atomizers, I will spent as much as it cost for a name brand. I'm just waiting for someone to import the loongtotem I guess...

My opinion stays the same as i have owned 3 generics which all worked for 2 days at the most and now have sedansa which seems unstoppable.

It is always good to own several of these products though as there history seems a little ropey.

your experienced is very limitted ted.. certaintly limited enough to be a fluke..

three generics that lasted only two days.. one sedansa that works as it should do..

pretty much of a novice at this aint u..

my experience.. the collective opinions of three heavy nicotine addicted e smokers over a five a month period.. pretty well all types of e devices tried.. pipes.. mini.. classics.. super mini.. cigars.. cigarillos.. much money spent..

my son has the entire range of e products of one well known UK seller at his disposal at the moment.. all brand new..

my opinion is the opinion of an e smoking expert.. but as i am often told here.. all opinions are equal.. there are no experts..

Here is a heavy e-smoker for 7 months; of course not using as much devices as you have, because that's exactly the point: how NOT to have to do that... and I have no trouble getting on in a cheap and good way in my way... it is NOT your way or the highway Trog, and it would be great if you could show a little respect to different views and experiences then your own... and letting others form and have their own minds on things is one way to do that...

The thing that gets me, a is the fact that e-cig brands know that the products they are selling are disposable, yet they refuse to acknowledge this. A businessman wouldn't blame them, what first time buyer would invest over 100$ in something that will eventually diminish in quality or stop working? I say stop the games. A. They should acknowledge the limited lifespan of frequently used atomizers. and B. Lower the prices on replacement atomizers (we have torn them apart, we know they are not high tech magic and could only cost a couple bucks tops to make. 26 dollars! ha!) That way customers can afford to simply buy replacements, and not have to worry with this pretend business of returning 'faulty' ones every month or so.

Bullseye, Jarvis. That MUST be where the pursuit ends up. Eventually it will, I'm sure. However, and unfortunately, we're all addicts. The manufacturers know we will continue to buy this crap because even as crap it's still better than cigarettes. No way out of that one for me.

On the plus side, the disposable cigar is looking good and if Loongtotem take a bit more care with their batteries (and pricing) the disposable cigarette should also shape up. From that point on I'll be happy to buy, use and toss the damn things...
