PuffnStuff, you diagram is great. it would be most effective if you had a way for the liquid to touch the atomizer directly though. this desgn can drip along the walls, or if upsode down, through the mouth piece. Is it is now, you still need a sponge to transfer your drip to the atomizer.
Then you don't need the pump anymore.
I made a cartridge with a very small piece of cotton months ago. The liquid goes into the back of the cartridge and because there's only a small hole it doesn't drip out but gets sucked out by the cotton. So not really a cottonless cartridge but the liquid gets used up much better and the cotton is always wet.

my original plan for the tank design was actually for the drippers out there. So many people have gone to dripping cause the carts don't work as well as they like. If the switch on the tank just put out a drop of liquid you could drip withough having to pull the cart and dripp every few puffs.

You could simply hold the cig upright, hit the drip button a couple times then start puffing, repeat as needed.

although I like the seperated compartment idea where the cotten draws liquid out.

what the hell is that fuzzy white stuff actually made of anyways?

I think I get what your picture is illustrating - did you cut off the end of the cart and push it into another so that the fibers are inside a little "capsule" created by the cart and the cart end that was cut off and pushed into it?

I cut off the end of one cart and made a hole in that part (can be seen in the bottom picture) and glued it into the other cart. The cart can be filled through the hole so the lower part of the cart contains pure liquid, no cotton. Finally you put a small piece of cotton inside the top part of the cart which transfers the liquid to the atomizer.

Wow.. you guys are creative. I am glad to see that everyone has such good ideas. It just proves that we are in a primitive stage, and I get excited to think of what the future is going to bring!

I was thinking of a pressurized system myself.. Maybe one that would release liquid onto an atomizer with an improved wick system, operated by the vacuum of someone inhaling from the mouthpiece. Kinda hard to put into words.. hopefully you guys get the general picture, if not, then sorry for being horrible at describing things. haha

Hey Everyone!,
First post here.. I just got my NPRO last night, charged 'er up, and started enjoying it immensly. Today, I'm at work and there's almost no "pull" or moister coming out through the NPRO..? I've briefly been reading some other posts, but haven't found my answer.

The website, njoy.com, says these cartridges last up to 2 packs worth. Well, it's only lasted maybe a couple cigarettes worth.

Do I need to buy liquid or something? I've been seeing that a lot. I just need to know why I'm not getting anymore more vapor after only a limited amount of use. Thank you - I'm trying not to light up a smoke, it's been 24 hours since my last cigarette, but my NPRO isn't working!!! HELP! :D

yo han,

Your idea is almost exactly what I've been thinking about. A resevoir with liquid underneath a small bit of wadding.

I wondering how to make it easier to fill. And wondering if a small piece of wick in the resevoir's hole would make it more efficient.

hmmm....... still waiting on my kevlar "rope" to arrive.

Hi Jhouxor, welcome to the forum.

A lot of sellers lie about what to expect from a cartridge, this is more like reality:

Super Minis (RN4081, RN4088, DSE103, etc...):
About 1-3 cigs worth (20-30 puffs)
Mini (DSE901, etc...):
5-6 cigs worth (50-75 puffs depending on how you puff)
Pen (DSE801, RN4072, etc...):
7-10 cigs worth (up to about 100 puffs)
eCigar:
10-12 cigs worth (up to about 120-130 puffs)
Pipe (DSE601, etc...)
Atleast 14-15 cigs worth. Carts are massive
