How can I make my liquids more smooth?

Hello All,

I'm new to the forum, I have used it for information on DIY and thought it was time to join. Everyone here seems so helpful and friendly. I've been DIYing for months now and prefer a throat hit, but sometimes I don't. I make a 50/50 PG/VG mix because it seems to be a good mix of vapor production and throat hit. My mom asked me to make her some, but was complaining it's too harsh. Is there anything I can do to make it more smooth without using more VG to PG ratio? Any opinions/advice would be much appreciated!

Dropping your nicotine level helps. Mine was a little harsh so I went down to 6mg in my DIY a couple a months back and I've not had harsh juice since.

Just curious…why don't you want to increase the VG? PG tears up my throat. Even if it's only at 2% in the flavoring. It could be possible your mom's also sensitive to it.

Every time I had purchased juices with more VG they tended to clog up my coils a lot faster, so when I make my own, my coils last up to 2 weeks now because of the 50/50 mix (that was my conclusion anyways). I could be wrong though.

I find it to be in the flavoring. Usually sugars or coloring. Some flavors clog after one tank while others last for days. My current ADV is a coil gunker but I rebuild so it's worth it. But admittedly I have nothing to compare it to as I always vape VG.
