You arent the one whos responsible for your Moms lung cancer so stop beating yourself up over it. I know second hand smoke has been portrayed as the devil by the media but there are far worse carcinogens out there like automotive exhaust, smog, industrial pollutants, radon gas and even wood smoke that no one ever talks about.Unfortunately second-hand smoke gets the blame for all of those.

I applaud your efforts to quit smoking and wanted to tell you that this forum is a great place for support in what has to be a very trying time for you.

My partner had a really hard time the first few days and he tells me that the only way he knocked the cravings was to follow this process.

Think about a cigarette-vape 24mg until you feel the Nic kick in.

Think about a cigarette-vape 24mg until you feel the nic kick in.

Think about a cigarette-vape 24mg until you feel the nic kick in.

So you get it. Every time you think about a cigarette, vape the craving away. After a few days of doing this your brain will start to make the solid connection it needs between the Nic high and your APV and soon you will find yourself thinking more about vaping than smoking.

Now when I say vape the craving away you literally have to bring yourself to the point of that Nic. buzz or this doesn't work. Your body wants the sticks more right now because your brain wants that sweet sweet Nic buzz. You have to teach it that there is a better delivery system.

You might need extracted tobacco flavors or WTAs so that you "feel" the effects similarly to the way cigarettes make a person feel (in some people, some of the time.) I realize that people smoke cigarettes for different reasons and don't presume to know how many you smoke, why or for how long you've been smoking cigarettes and what they do for you.
Just a thought :)
Good luck.
p.s. I just read your post here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizers-cartridges/358587-i-have-legendary-atomizer.html
In fact, I've come across and enjoyed reading a few of your posts LOL. You have a flair for writing and evoking (and provoking) feelings from many people :)

Hello vaping people~

Yeah so... here's my long story short.

I started vaping about 1 and half year ago. vaped for about 6 months but still smoked an analog... So I thought nah~ this isn't working for me and cost me so much. Then I quit vaping and started just smoking again...

Now I'm trying to start all over again into the vaping world! Reason why is because my mother got a Lung Cancer.... :( Nobody in my house or my family smokes except me... So that made me feel and look like Im the one responsible for my mother's lung cancer... :(

That is why I want to quit smoking. I feel like it's too late for that because my mother's already sick.... But I want to show I really care!

I bought a Provari mini which should arrive next week and Boba's Bounty. Yes I bought a high quality vaping stuff so I really can try this time.

I still smoke analogs but I'm cutting it down a lot. But it seems impossible for me to quit!!!

So people teach me or tell me how you guys managed to quit.

Thank you, Vincent

I too had a hard time quitting and tried many things. Seems a lot of people post on here about vaping and never wanting to go back to analogs. I tried vaping and failed and continued smoking for a year. Then I Got an ego and still smoked. Finally I'd had enough and let myself smoke only ultra lights while continuing to smoke my ecig at 24 mg nic. Every time I had a cigarette I would tell myself how bad it is, how bad it makes you feel and smoke, and how much it damages your lungs. I quickly found myself smoking my ecig more as it deliverd more nic than an ultra light. One day I ran out of cigs and didn't have time to buy any. I grabbed my ecig, and puffed on that. By the end of the day I had gone a whole day without the stinkies so I figured why not keep it up. I'm still smoke free.

Sorry about your mom, and good luck quitting. It's a hard habit to break. I tried a few times last year, I didn't really like the flavor of the juice and I only got down to about six smokes a day before I gave up. This year I tried again, and luckily have found a couple of flavors that I really like. For me the tabacco flavors are important. Tomorrow I will be two weeks without a smoke. There are a couple of things that helped me. The first was the saying here that says to count the ones you don't have, not the ones you do.

The second one, for me, is different than what some others have said. I started to vape on a Monday. Every time I wanted a smoke I reached for my pv first. That Saturday I had my last smoke, it kind of snuck up on me and by Sunday I went 24 hours. So then I tried to go another 24. But, for the first week I couldn't think about never having a smoke again without feeling panic. So I carried one with me all the time. Just having it helped, and I have not smoked it. For me, I couldn't say to myself that's it, I'm never going to smoke again.

Yesterday when I walked past a lady that smokes and she smelt bad! I was so excited! I've always loved smoking, and when people who smoked were walking in the office, it was tempting at first.

don't try 36mg! it really is like your first ciggie and you'll feel sick! lol - that really is for hardcore only.

Go for 18 or 24mg - pick a flavor you can manage all day - menthol suggested above is a decent idea. Nothing will replicate the taste of a cigarette because it's completely different - you are now heating a liquid rather than burning a leaf. So hold the vape in your mouth and then inhale it - most vaped nicotine is absorbed thru your mouth. Try a few different flavors until you find one you are good with all day.

Make it thru one day - you will be delighted with yourself.

Then another.... you will then find after a short time that you don't really find ciggies that appealing. i gave all ours away.

one more thing - make sure you have spare batteries, spare charger etc - you may think it's overkill, but trust me! the provari is a great device and will help you - you may be surprised how effortless it was. I smoked 40 Marlboro a day and stopped totally in August 2012 using a Silver Bullet and a Vivi Nova tank.

and good luck.
