I have no idea why or how this happens but I have tried everything from using polyfill which stinks farnkly and also using now blue foam. It seems like on some atomizers I dont have this issue of where if my cart is half full I get no vapor so I have to top it off constantly. Is there anyway to fix this? It seems to be doing the same thing on both atomizers and I have tried a new cartridge and it didnt make any difference.

and the answer is:

because carts never did work worth a crap to begin with.

if you are a heavy vapor the capillary action in the filler is much too slow to replenish the atomizer with ejuice

most people like me now either drip or use cartomizers

August 09 smoked 00 cigs, 40 less than my usual 40 cigs a day 3435 cigarettes not smoked in 96 days by using Stonewall, Joye 510, Hello 016, Ken's BoxMod, MadVapes 2xAA Box mod, WetBox Vaporizer (ecig) and 19 bottles of ejuice partially used , $0.28 per cig X 3435 Cigs = $961.80 diverted from cigarettes to Vaporizer (ecig). OMG I have spent over $2025.59 in 92 days on this stuff but bare in mind that i have 3 months worth of supplies and my old cigarette cost was $330 a month, using snus + PV + Stonewall right now

Cartridges work fine here, blue foam slug. Lots of vapor, I can vape clouds until the foam is nearly dry. This is after I've tailored the foam and my DIY e-liquid to match, for sure. It took about a week of playing with different sizes of the foam, and that after I standardized my DIY formula balance of glycerine, propylene glycol and dilutant to what we like here.

Cartomizers turn me off, they develop a muddy taste that can't be cleaned out IMO.

Try the Blue Foam Dart (BFD) mod.

I have had the low vapor problem with all fillers and ended up experimenting with plug sizes. It's ridiculous how trimming a half millimeter off each side of the plug will turn a no-vapor plug into a smoke bomb. Too tight, no wicking, I guess. Too loose=mouthful of juice (grin).

Standing the ecig with the cart end up helps juice to flow to the atty. The Ego is a natural for that with its big flat end on the batt. Someone posted that they kept their 510s in a shot glass on their desk with the cart up and it kept the atty supplied without flooding it. I've found that to be true, even when the cart is getting low. I stand it on end when I get low vapor and the vapor comes back for a few more hits.

VG helps, even a 50/50 mix with PG. I have some PG juices that just don't produce and the throat hit is harsh, especially for the low vapor output you get. I noticed last time I was there that Cignot now has low resistance attys for 510s. I've thought about ordering a couple of LR attys next time I order juice.

I have several PV's going at a time just to give the juice a chance to get down to the attys. Standing them up with cart up and batt down.
This has solved the problem for me.
If you try this and get any leakage with blue foam, change to Fluval. It seems to hold the juice better and wick more forgivenly than the foam.

What is Fluval and where do you buy it?

Thanks, in advance, for your response.

You can get both blue and white fluval at pet stores in aquarium isle. usually marineland brand. white is a pad, no carbon material for a 304 filter. Blue is a sleeve like pad, usually 3 to a pack, called "rite size sleeve"

White fluval works great, but must be fluffed and lightly packed. Blue works great, but must be packed tight. Both from same isle in the pet store, usually 2 feet from each other.

I am surprised no one has metioned the differences between atomizers. Unfortunately, the manufacturing companies have little to no quality control. Another factor in the "low-vapor cartridge effect" could be because the wicks on the atomizers are of differing lengths. If the wick doesn't touch the foam, or the wick is "clogged" it will caused all kinds of issues.

My guess is the same cart will behave differently for the OP on a different atomizer. This again, would be due to the differences between individual atomizers.
