Being that all of us were, or still are smokers, I think cancer is something that is always in the back of our minds. When I was 9, I lost my mother to breast cancer after a long and painful battle. For the last few months of her life, the chemo/radiation had destroyed her and she was unrecognizable. With my family history and the choices I have made, I have always seen cancer as an eminent part of my future. Now that I have quit smoking, I am finally starting to feel like there is hope for me. Cancer is a subject that is near and dear to my heart, so when I came across this video on the forum, I got out the tissues and sat down and watched. It is about 2 hours long and it is about a ground breaking doctor that has successfully cured many cancer patients that were diagnosed with inoperable tumors and only a few months to live, but has had less successfully tried to jumping through hoops and break down walls put up by the FDA. Dr Burzynski has been seeking FDA approval for his drug since 1977, my mom passed away in 1991. They did to him what they are doing to e-cigarette users, ignoring the research and trying to sweep him under the rug because a cure for cancer is bad for business, just as a safer alternative to smoking is, and in the process, thousands more people will die each year, from cancer and from smoking. If you have the time, this is a must see, it is truely disturbing how corrupt our government has become.

Ya I know. It's pure evil. It's just business.

I think there is a cure for cancer. Maybe not every single type of it, but some for sure. Big Pharma don't want us, the public, to know about it. They would lose BIG $$$. Bad for business. Anything bad for business is not good. War is good for business, Death is good for business, Disease is good for business. Electronic Cigarettes are bad for business, for Big Pharma, Big tobacco and Governments. Hmm...

I agree with you totally lelly!

Governments were practically founded on corruption. It's no surprise to me at all, the real shocker; is how people just bend over and take it, rather than standing up and fighting.

We the people out number the Government, Police and Military. We the people control the outcome of big business, all we have to do is stop purchasing the "wants" and you will see yourself; all the big corps will fall to their knee's. Which has been proven in the past with depressions and recessions.

Pharma only makes money on sick people. Don't kid yourself, they don't want healthy alkaline bodies. Bad for business.

lelly, thank you for the vid link. I watched it last night and it was both angering and frustrating to know that lives are being played with, all in the name of money, power and greed.

I'm sure that all of us knows somebody or has a family member that has had or has cancer. My mother was one of the casualties and succumbed to the disease. It was then that I truly understood all of the money that was involved with cancer treatment and if they found a cure for this dreaded disease, then the losses to many incomes and the economy would be epic.

This Dr. Burzynski is truly an angel among all of this turmoil that he has to endure.

I watched this last night and was absolutely blown away. Was it just me or did it not say exactly what the indictments were for during the later grand jury??? I was flabbergasted trying to figure out exactly what the charge was and what their evidence was? They said over and over that the FDA was NOT questioning the efficacy of the drug at all...but what then? Is the court system really so frivoulous that they will allow anyone (government agency included) to bring someone to court and charge them with....with what exactly were they charging him and based on what evidence??? I was under the impression that a court would not allow a trial to take place without some sort of evidence of wrongdoing...I guess I am as green as they come! What really gets me is how many lives could have been saved, or at the very least, how many cancer victims (and their families) could have maintained their quality of life during their last months?!

This is outrageous!! Wouldn't it be ironic if the FDA commissioner himself was suddenly stricken with cancer and then appealed to Dr. Burzynski for treatment?! As terrible as it sounds, for him to be personally diagnosed with a death sentence just might be the wake-up call that is needed.

I am so interested in watching this lelly! Awesome of you to post this info for us to see! I know about what happened to you in your family, and my heart breaks into a million pieces for what you have had to go through. And leaving you wondering what if...maybe your mom would be alive still. Gosh my heart breaks Lelly for you! Hugsnbugs hun!! It has been an uphill battle for you, but rest assurred, your quitting analogs and switching to vaping, is making your mom so awfully proud of you. She is looking down at her lovely daughter with a grin from ear to ear and hugging you while you sleep and in your dreams at night to let you know just how proud she really is of you. You are a great daughter, and have accomplished so many things. Be proud, and continue on with your mom's legacy. She left a huge print in the hearts of many who get to hear about her life with you.

I've been aware of vaping for just 3 months, and I find that the "game changing" aspect about it is very different than other breakthroughs in health advancements. It can't quite be gotten rid of by government or big business similar to peer-to-peer file sharing can't be stopped by record companies or movie houses or governments.

We have families and friends that are beside themselves to see us not smoking anymore and our families live in every part of the world. The world knows about the positive impact of vaping and as such vaping can't be put pack in the bottle so to speak.

Essentially, of the 3 big lifestyle medical issues, tobacco, alcohol and diet - smoking has been solved. That is huge and can't be ignored. Although BP and BT along with government want to do away with vaping they aren't up against the usual health alternative cure where public knowledge is very low or the public has skepticism and believe claims to be "too good to be true". For vaping we are each and all living proof to show anyone.

But here's the thing, BP and others are headlong into their usual squashing maneuvers with a highly visible "cure" and their hypocricy is so much more evident and clearer with their old-school anti-vaper retoric. It comes off like "stop vaping and go back to tobacco smoking" which can be starkly seen for what it is - hypocritic and evil.

Just to play devil's advocate here, there is some question about the quality of Dr. Burznski's research: Stanislaw Burzynski and "Antineoplastons"

Of course, I'm a bit of a skeptic, especially when the word "cure" is thrown about.

I also remember hearing about this: Cheap, 'safe' drug kills most cancers - health - 17 January 2007 - New Scientist and waiting for the inevitable show to drop. According to the update, it's "somewhat effective" but "seems to take months to work". Admittedly, most of the chemistry goes right over my head...

I agree that everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt, this documentary is a bit biased in that it has cherry-picked the positive results and showcased their stories. I think those that discredit the success of this treatment have bigger reasons, ($$$$) for having dishonest motives. His drug is not a cure-all for 100% of cases of cancer, but according to his peer-reviewed results, his methods have made major headway in cases that were considered incurable. Whether it works for 1% or 100%, any effectiveness AT ALL should be grounds for funding for clinical trials and further development. If the FDA wasn't so corrupt then with their help there would have had solid proof of the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of Dr. B's method of treatment over 20 years ago.

The link that Concat posted for a study from the U of A is another example of a cheap, possibly effective treatment being overlooked because BP can't patent and profit from it. Considering BP idea of treatment can kill a person before the cancer does, dichloroacetate and antineoplastons with their minimal side effects seem like a no brainer, (whether they work or not, take days or months), to give to EVERY cancer patient on this planet.

Just a few thoughts from this arcticle Stanislaw Burzynski and "Antineoplastons" I am no chemistry expert so I can't really comment on the science aspect of it, but a few things really stood out to me:

PA may not be safe. In 1919, it was shown that PA can be toxic when ingested by normal individuals. It can also reach toxic levels in patients with phenylketonuria (PKU); and in a pregnant woman, it can cause the child in utero to suffer brain damage.

"May not be safe", just like e-cigarettes may not be safe. "Can be toxic" based on the results of an unreferenced study conducted almost 100 years ago. Or it "can cause the child in utero to suffer brain damage", well I don't think many people with a terminal illness and only a couple months to live would be going out getting pregnant. Is chemo, radiation and the hundreds of other TOXIC chemicals given to cancer patients safe? If you watch the movie, you will see the side effects of just a few of these drugs, not to mention the first few minutes of the movie chronicles a young girls death due to chemo/radiation she had undergone before being treated by Dr. B. She died cancer free, but her brain had melted from radiation.

The Japanese National Cancer Institute has reported that antineoplastons did not work in their studies

Really, because according to many other sources, the Japanese found promising result in phase one of their trials, despite never initiating phase 2.

Tests of antineoplastons at the National Cancer Institute have never been positive

Whose side do you think they are on? IMO these institutes and societies are just as corrupt to the FDA. Will any cancer institutes endorse e-cigarettes? They give 5 billion dollars/year to BP for cancer research, and doctors are still giving people the same cancer cocktails that they were 25 years ago.

It was highlighted in the movie that after the NCI and Dr. Burzinsky had entered into an agreement to have NCI conduct their study using Dr. Burzinsky's patented formula, that NCI deviated from Dr. Burzinsky's protocol and changed it completely -- anyone knows that if you're trying to duplicate results, you need to duplicate the recipe exactly. If you're trying to bake your mom's chocolate cake, you're not going to get it if while you're mixing it, you decide to increase the flour, decrease the baking powder and skip the chocolate all together!!! It's going to flop...and you KNOW it's going to flop!

I am so sick of the damage cancer has done to those I love: breast, cervical x3, testicular, stomach. When you take care of someone who is dying for over a year, and you've been told flat out the only treatment would prolong life only 4-6 months at the cost of severe pain I would have jumped a chance to try something that had some freaking hope! I don't know when this stops making me want to scream. Not yet. Maybe never. This is why I do contests, diy, try to help new people and learn from old vapers- to keep from thinking how damn empty my world is now- because of cancer. I say fight it with everything, especially when the BP says sorry, too far gone. Sorry, I'm not being real clear here, but this is still too soon for me. Sorry about your mom. Really, I know the loss is tragic. And your dad pipeous. And everyone else's losses- because cancer is a busy .......!
