Ok so I want this to be a post for you to go back and remember that first day that first vape. Me I remember buying a tececig (small ecig) at the mall and using it for about 2weeks and quitting and going back to analogs. I got a new job and there I meet charger72 (what he goes by on here) told me what to get and helped me every step of the way and now I'm an avid vapor. From an ego to a provari. So in this post I want to say Thank you Charger72 for 4months free of cigarettes. Remember please post how you found out and if someone was there to help or if you picked it up on your own.

My first was a Volt starter kit. I saw a guy at work last year with some ecig but didnt give it much thought. Then recently a guy on another hobby fourm talked of how he's been off for a year using a newer one. Searched around the web and found this site..Lurked here for a few days, saw a few youtubes, tons of reading and ended up with a couple of Kgos. Mini Nova's came today and vaping as I type this. It's been a great experience and only getting better!

For better and for (a lot of people) worse, my first exposure to e-cigs were those ripoff "as seen on TeeVee" advertisements. (Anyone else noticed that all those "free" deals have disappeared from the Toob?) And I would pass by the various Kwikee Marts around Boston and see some sort of advertisement card for nJoy in the window.

Me being me, I wasn't about to try anything new like this without checking into it first. Just too many questions - like "What the heck is that?" to buy an nJoy at a Kwikee Mart blind. And it seemed kind of expensive.

What to do? Google something obvious: "electronic cigarette." I found ECF, asked a boat load of questions (Thanks again y'all!), bought my first JoyeTech eGo kit and there you have it.

As far as anyone helping me out, in person? Despite living in Boston I have yet to run into a single other person using a PV. Pretty sure the vast majority go it completely alone, buying blind for that first purchase. Or do what I did and latch onto ECF to make that first purchase decision. We are still a fairly rare breed out there in the real world.

I am not sure how I first heard about them. I remember right after my state went non-smoking I was so mad that I couldn't visit my favorite bar for a beer and a smoke anymore. I didn't really know the first thing about them but I knew they existed so I did some research and bought a look-a-like kit. My intentions were to only use them in bars and other non-smoking environments but to my surprise, I was so happy with them I had my last analog three days after I got my kit.

Man that is awesome. The great thing about vaping is you pass on the great knowledge you learn. Thanks for the props now pass it forward.

The guys over at HeliFreak.com (RC helicopter forum) started a thread about how nice it was to see people vaping at IRCHA (International RC helicopter association event) this year. I started asking tons of questions, which were answered, and I was also directed over here as well. Took my first toot Aug 26th at 6:30PM, haven't had an analogue since. I think I'm more hooked on vaping, and all the cool mods, favors, etc, than I was on smoking for 20+ years. Smoking seems so boring looking back now, not to mention the taste.

I heard a radio ad one day riding around with my girlfriend, and decided we'd give it a try. I puffed on it a while and still had nic cravings (american blue tip i think was the company). I was pretty excited when it came in and i didn't bother reading the information. I later discovered it was a 0 nic e-cig. It was one of those rip off brands and they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for the cartos. I knew it wasn't for me after the first night and we ended up sending it back. About two years later I decided I'd try e-cigs again and I looked into things a little more thoroughly. I'm glad i did. I had a disposable and ordered a 510, then got an ego not long after that. Things are going great.

I used to work with a Dr who was trying to quit his analogs. He went through brand after brand till he finally found what worked for him... 1 year later I wanted to do the same and gave him a call. He hooked me up with my local vape shop 'Vapor Phoxxe' and haven't look back since.... Now I have my parents and my wife hooked as well!

I started with a Blu starter kit 7 months ago seeing them at my local Walgreens. I loved the flavors and the convenience of being able to get them at a brick and mortar store. But I was getting tired of the very short battery life. After reading a bit on ECF, I followed the suggestions in the Infozone and moved up to an Ego a couple of weeks ago. The Blus were great for getting me off of analogs, but I sure wish I had started reading here months ago. I love the ability to experiment on the Ego with many, many different juices and vaping methods.

I first heard about electronic cigarettes on a totally unrelated forum a few years ago. Reliable equipment and supplies seemed to be an ongoing problem which a quick Google confirmed.

Last week I saw an ad for Blu on TV which prompted another Google trip. I saw a much happier picture for equipment and supplies.

Sorting out the finer points of vaping left my eyes glazed over so I ordered the simplest thing for beginners I could find that had decent customer service, Green Smokes. I knew they were way overpriced but I liked the idea of starting vaping immediately while continuing my vaping education.

From a 2+ PAD, I've not had a cigarette since my first vape and don't crave one. Now I'm trying to sort through my future plans for equipment and supplies. I've also discovered in hindsight that the cig-a-like form factor was an excellent decision for me. It seems more like I've simply changed cigarette brands to something hugely better rather putting them in my past.

A woman at work, who unfortunately is probably dead now from smoking, introduced me to it. She was trying desperately to quit and bought one at the mall. She knew it was too late for her to quit and decided she just couldn't put the real cigs down, so she ended up selling me hers for half price. That was back when the "Smoking Everywhere" E-cig was over 100 bucks at the mall. I used it for a few weeks, but never did get serious about quitting, put it in a drawer for about a year until I picked it back up and on a dare from my girlfriend, gave up analogs completely and started using it "full time".

My boyfriend, who is a nonsmoker, bought me my 1st ecig (green smoke) for Valentines day a couple years back. Yeah I know, real romantic huh? I tried it but it didnt really satisfy my cravings. Long story short I now have joyetech eGo C with a clearomizer and am vaping almost full time. Only smoking about 3-5 analogs a day and my boyfriend is thrilled! Its so nice not 2 reek of smoke!

I'd smoked for over 30 years. I work in the medical field, and obviously knew the risks, saw it everyday in the patients at the hospital. I tried the gum, patches, Wellbutrin, even hypnosis (group and individual) - nothing worked for more than a couple of days. My teenage kids were always on me to quit. Then my mother died relatively quickly of an unsuspected cancer. Somehow losing her hit me hard to realize my own mortality.

About that time I noticed some of those NJoy disposable cigs in the convenience mart. I believe that sometimes things happen for a reason...sort of fate. I bought a menthol, as I smoked Marlboro Menthols. I was kinda surprised that it wasn't too bad and might just be enough to curb cravings.

Went online to research, and found ECF on Google. Thank you, Jesus. What ton of info! I spent a couple of weeks researching. Bought my starter pack from Smokeless Image. Great product, and within a week I was no longer thinking of cigarettes. However I quickly tired of the frequent battery changes, and wanted a device that could hold much more juice capacity.

First mods were a BB and Silver Bullet. Ended up with nearly a dozen carto tanks, all with a different favorite flavor. Was relatively happy with this setup until a vendor in a brick and mortar let me try higher voltage on my own Silver Bullet and juices. I was hooked. Now have my Provari with the SB and BB as my secondaries.

I totally stumbled across them last week or so. I don't even know what it is I was looking at but I'm sure I didn't set out to find them.
It turned out to be something that I didn't expect either, I originally imagined something more clinical and pharmecyesque.
Anyway, I ordered my first PV on Friday and now have my nice blue Inferno and don't think I'll look back now.
