I overheard my receptionist talking about her friend who had brought an ecig from Hong Kong. I was intrigued so went looking on the web and stumbled across Totally Wicked in the UK which was just launching the Tornado (eGo). Now 7 months analogue free.

The twist on this is that after a couple of months I declared the office a "vape friendly zone" so any of the staff can vape in the office but must go outside to have an analogue. The receptionist still goes outside in the heat and rain!!! LOL

Happy vaping to you and send down some cold air and snow from our friends North of the border!

Well, Liv2Ski, are you happy now? You asked for the cold . . . enjoy the slopes! It's chilly - but still sunny - in Texas!
(couldn't resist after listening to this morning's review of airport closures in the northeast)

I think I might have heard a radio commercial about them a year or two back, but I specifically remember a discussion on a different (non related to e-cigs) message board earlier this spring talking about whether or not e-cigs were more harmful than the real thing. After that it seemed like I was seeing articles about the things all of the time on MSNBC. I started to get serious about purchasing an e-cig after I watched an article about an e-cig supplier having $16,000 worth of merchandise held up in customs by the FDA. At the time, it looked like the product might be banned and if I really wanted to use this product to quit smoking, I better get on it.

That was about 2 months ago. I bought my first disposable, and then my first rechargable. Allegedly, my new VaporKing should be here today. Regardless, I haven't smoked since I bought that first disposable. Whoo-hoo!

I first hear about E-Cigs when Jason Mewes mentioned it on his podcast with Kevin Smith. I then decided to look into it further, and really liked the idea of and E-Cig. I am now awaiting my very first one!

Ha! I didn't know Jay vaped!

I was listening to a DC based morning show "Elliott in the Morning" and they had a local ecig vendor on and they were all trying them out. Had to research it after I heard that and I remember how excited I was about it. Been cig free for 9 months!

I myself had heard the radio commercials and seen the kiosks in the mall- but I didn't pay any mind to them- thought it was just a way to snag $$ off of me. What really got me interested was the 'After the Catch' tribute to Phil Harris episode. I saw Phil's boys on there and both were using an ecig! So I thought there must be something to this new fad! I did some research online and ran across a few vendor sites with vids and watched. I did more research and stumbled upon this forum and started reading. I was also eyeballing a certain vendor and reading reviews from others about the different types available. So after about oh I'd say 6 or 8mo of him-hauling around I decided I want this- for me and for the health of my kids. So- here I am- armed with a 510 kit and 2 10ml bots of juice and giving it a go! One thing I have noticed since I started yesterday is I find myself chewing and mouthing the end of my whistle tip- along with sucking it like its an everlasting gobbstopper or sucker! May have to try and get some rounded tips in the next few weeks- maybe I wont be so inclined to mouth on them like they were pens! Happy vaping!

I first heard about them from a doctor, my orthopedic guy. He was telling me that my knees will have to be replaced eventually, and I would be much better off when that day came if I quit smoking ASAP. I told him I tried patches, gum, pills, etc. He asked If I had ever tried an electric cigarette,,,,nope, never heard of it. He told me a (very) little bit about them. That info sat in the back of my skull for a month or two. One day when my knee was barking, that info popped back up front. I did some searching on the internet and the next thing you know, I was vaping! I stayed on the analogs part time until I ran out.

A few months later, at my annual physical, my GP asked if I smoked any more. "No" I said, "I've gone electric" He didn't look pleased and started to say something about the FDA,blah, blah, blah. I cut him off and said that the FDA was only concerned about power, control, and money. He still didn't look pleased, but he had no rebuttal. I told him I had control over my nicotine intake, and had already lowered it significantly from when I started. The numbers on all of my labs were as good or better than a year prior when I smoked.

I am forever in debt to my orthopedic doctor,,,,, in more ways than one. LOL

Someone brought it up in a Criminal Justice Advisory Board meeting, how people were using it to vape synthetic ......... "spray." I thought "Well, maybe I can use it for its intended purpose(vaping nic liquid) to help quit smoking." My online searches led to here, purchased a 510, Ego, mega-510, and a little Chuck. Don't know if I saved any money, but voila, I quit the analogs, just like that.

About 6 months ago i came across a Blu ad and looked at it ended up doing a few searches and lost interest. Then about a month ago my partner told me a friend was going to try electric cigs to help quit smoking. I never really thought much about it before. I never could stand the smell of analog smoke so i thought i would give it a shot. Did a few searches and ordered a vapor king kit to try.

I had been wanting to quit chewing, but kept putting it off, when i stopped by the local tobacco shop, i saw some ecigs in the case and decided to get one. I then talked to a friend that was big into vaping. he showed me mad vapes, and i realized i got swindeled with an overpriced inferior product. I cut my losses and got some 510 gear and havent looked back since!
