I am a phone man and I was working in Florence Al. on the Tenn river marina. I saw an older man puffing and the he would stick it in his front pocket. So I ask him about it. Well, He said his wife told him he couldn't smoke on the new boat. It got me to wondering if this might work for me! Been cigarette free for 25 day and have no intention of going back. That's my story. What's yours???

Back in October of '09, we were on vacation with some friends, and my buddy happened to have a Ruyan electronic cigar. I'd never seen such a thing, so I was quite curious about it. I had started to develop a persistent cough over the previous few months, likely from the state-mandated fire-safe cigarettes they'd started selling here in 2008. So I figured something like that cigar might be just the ticket. When we got home, I started doing some research, stumbled onto the ECF and wound up reading more than I ever imagined. A few days later I ordered an e-cig kit, and that was that.

My girlfriend, who doesn't smoke, was bugging me to try one. I was interested but not in any hurry. Her brother then sent me a groupon for a southbeachsmoke deluxe starter kit for $24. I figured if it helped me not smoke a few packs it would pay for itself. I also figured it may be a nicotine substitution device for the the places I couldn't smoke. A few days after receiving the kit I had my last cig and found ecf. Didn't take long for me to make the 808 device my backup's backup.

I had a student who would walk out and stand with me and Other Students while we Smoked.

I kept seeing a Blue Light out of the corner of my eye. I thought it was a Wireless Headset. I finally realized that he wasn't talking so I watched him until he took a Hit off his Blu.

I bought a Blu the Next Day. An 88mAh Battery and a 9 Drop Cart. I was in vaping Heaven.

LOL

My loving non-smoking (never tried smoking) Husband suggested an e-cig for when we travel so I wouldn't go through the nic panic thing when our flights unavoidably get delayed. Little did he know what this would turn into.

So I looked e-cigs up and the search engines pointed me to this site. I spent days reading and reading for almost a week. I spent almost 6+ hours each day reading and looking places up that were mentioned to see what the devices looked like, what prices were, making sure that what I was looking at were the real thing and not a clone or knock-off. I used the search engine on this site when terms were mentioned. I just thoroughly researched all the different possibilities until I thought my head would explode.

Then the search for juice....... THAT was the hardest after I had decided on what I wanted to use for the hardware.

But I digress. My husband suggested it for temporary measures and is very happy that it has worked so well and is very proud that I have made it this far without smoking. Hahaha he has even helped me stalk the mailman! I thank him all the time for making that suggestion back in the beginning of September.

I was at a meeting and a friends wife was puffing away on an eGo-T, when I asked about it she told me about this "little store" downtown that sold them. Little did I know that the "little store" was one of the major vendors, and had more vaping toys than you could shake a stick at to choose from. Now I have more vaping toys than you can shake a stict at.

My wife quit 3 years ago. I have quit numerous times for up to a couple of years, but this time when I tried I failed miserably. I walked into a Walgreens for a pack and noticed the blu's. Bought one, knew this was not for me but liked the idea, so started searching. Came across ECF and haven't left since. Researched for about 10 days and like was said, " thought my head would explode". The search, even though I have 2x650 twists, a lavatube, and a VModXL on the way, continues. I kinda doubt that the search will stop anytime soon. Don't wanna even talk about the incomplete and totally exhausting search for the right juice. DAMN, this is fun!

I was rebuilding a deck for my tax guy in Jan. of this year. He noticed me smoking like a freight train and offered me a generic ecig that tasted like Camel cigs. I tried it and used it for a few weeks but never dropped smoking. Then in july I bought a Blu starter kit, because i wanted to try more flavors. The Blu battery life was horrible and I continued smoking. Then one day I got the urge to hunt down a better ecig and tried the Ego-T-2. Since then I haven't smoked a stinky at all. Been on my ProVari for a week and I don't think i'll go back to smoking ever.

My EMT partner was smoking one. I figured nothing would be as good as a cigarette ever and focused on quitting. I hate smoking and quit cold turkey at the end of August. 6 weeks in and I knew I wouldn't make it. Picked up a pv at a gas station. Thought I was in heaven. Got a better one in the mail today and now I'm really in heaven. Figure this will hold me for a bit.
What I'd really like is a juice with all the alkaloids in it (whole tobacco I think its called).

I started several years ago after my Dad tried it. So, like him, I went to heavensgifts and got my first kit (this was back when they were just about the only supplier). I waited, and waited, and waited, and then waited some more, and finally got my order. Wow, something that looks like a pen, but makes smoke! Back then I was pretty hot stuff, nobody had ever heard of an e-cig. Then I discovered the shortcomings of the 801, and went back to smoking cause I couldn't afford 20 batteries and 30 atomizers to get myself through a week. Then my Dad got this new cool battery, something called an eGo. He liked it so much he sent me alllllll of his 801 stuff. I still have it too, lots of NOS :) lol Well, needless to say, it didn't take me long to switch over, and I haven't gone back since. The eGo was what saved me from smoking.

I honestly can't remember. I started looking at them in September of 2010 for some reason(I honestly can't remember where I first discovered they existed, i'm sure I ran into them on the internet somehow, like a news story or something, because I know I had never seen one in person until I got mine and it was a lot smaller than I expected) and for weeks I read all I could about them (mostly from here I think) but at the time I was very, very broke. I was a student and could barely get enough together at the time to get a cheap pack of Pall Malls or something. I almost bought an Njoy kit they sold at a local tobacco shop because I wanted to try them SOOOO BAD. I mean it, I was literally obsessed with the idea of them and it was literally all I could think about for weeks, I just couldn't afford it. I had managed to save like 50-60 bucks for one and I got a Joye 510 kit, and a 30mL bottle of 555 and a 30mL bottle of Caramel Apple. Ordered it at 6:00PM, Friday October 8, and it was at my doorstep at 2:30PM on Monday the 11th when I got out of class from Cali which just blew my frickin mind at the time.

    The rest.....was history. :D

Been smoking for about 25 years, tried to quit several times with different methods. The local 7-11 got in some of the cheapie stuff and seeing it on the counter all the time got me considering trying them. Fortunately for me I decided to do a little research on them first and found ECF right away. ECF led me to youtube and pbussardo, grimmgreen and others. Between here and there I spent over two weeks trying to wrap my head around this whole new world I never knew existed! I finally decided on an eGo-C upgrade 1000mah kit and haven`t had a cigarette since I unwrapped it! :D As of today I`ve been smoke free for 15 days and feeling great! My only regret so far is that I didn`t get the twist batteries. I`m going to try to talk my wife into trying my my eGo-C and if she likes it I`ll give it to her and get myself a couple of twists and mini-novas! :D:D

Like MorpheusPA, I saw a Blu eCig ad on late night TV one night. I had thought several times over the past year that I really needed to quit cigarettes...so I started researching things and ended up with an eGo starter kit. After a couple of successful days with that and the horrible cartridges (both flavor and PITA to use -wise) that came with it I ended up here. That led me down the fulfilling road of finding the 'stuff' that is right for me.
