My first one is on the way out after about 6 weeks of use. The switch started sticking and it would come on at will. The next thing that happened is that I charge it and it works for a little while but then the charge is gone - maybe after half an hour of use. I still have it but I suspect it will get tossed to the junk pile by the end of the week.

well, mine didn't necessarily die - they just went wonky. the first one went all voodoo and the LED lit up while attached to the att just laying on the table. I got to it too late and it had super cleaned the atomizer. bleh! It then proceeded to randomly turn on while not attached to anything. It's possessed

The replacement that came for it had similar problems but not identical. I believe the switch is just sticking on this one as the LED will stay lit after I've stopped drawing on it. Then it will blink and either go dark or stay on. A quick puff of air turns it off.

I have been using my first 901 for some 7 weeks now and there seems to be no problem with batteries yet. Maybe a couple of minutes shorter lifetime, but I never really stopwatched it so i do not know.

Can this be caused by the fact I do not like dripping and only use carts? I mean carts are less prone to get liquid to the battery and switch, right? Or no?

Haven't had too many problems with mine for whatever reason. Just depends on the manufacturer I s'pose. I believe they use different types of switches and sources of the battery. I did have a little incident where I dropped one in the toilet and I'm willing to admit that I dried it out and used it... lol
