How do I avoid ordering from overseas ?

I noticed something else about overseas ordering but damned if I know why ... I'm a tracking junkie and I've noticed after a total of 4 overseas orders that it also seems to slow the package down even on the states side.
No, I don't mean the expected delay when it gets to that New york clearing place as they always add another 5 days before your tracking alerts you that it has left that place and is headed to Flushing New York ... (I'm in Zelienople Pa. and my shipments always seem to go to Flushing New York ) after that coastal stop in the New York clearing house .... But thats when the mystery begins ... it will then inadvertantly spend 3 to 5 days in New Jersey, and there is a post office about 19 miles from me where all of my packages land before the final trip to the Zelie post office ... even that 19 miles away post office holds it for at least two days. A thing that absolutely never happens to Stateside deliveries ... on any trip from anywhere near New York ... I'm wondering if every post office is required to also do a mini customs type inspection of all heavyweight in an envelope type packages from overseas ... I realize that both the Itaste VTR as well as the God 180-S can easily look and feel like cased handguns ...

I found a simple solution for all this a few years back. .... Don't order anything .... make it yourself.
I vaped all of 2014 without spending a single cent, not even for juice.

I have to admit to spending 150 bucks in Jan 2015 .... just because I deserved it, but that's all I've spent this year.
At my vape pace I will run out of supplies in January ... of 2099.

Add:
Flushing is the worse post office on the planet, add at least two days to any order that has to go through there. Normal routing from Flushing NY to PA would be with a layover in Florida.

I might be a little slow but due to lack of brain 'smarts' I try hard to stick with Amazon, ...

I buy a lot from Amazon (not vaping-related items). Two times small parts of my orders ($3 and $4) come after 1 months, from China, in exactly the same packaging as from Fasttech. So, now Amazon have Chinese vendors on its list.
