I've become great at the blind sqounk. The only thing is that I'm not good at knowing when to do it again. After a few pulls I do get a burnt taste which you all know. I hate it. I've tried taking a few hits then sqounk again but I tend to do it too early and end up with some juice in my mouth. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you could try counting the number of hits post squonl, pre burn. Say it turns out to 4 hits before it tastes burnt. then remember to squonk every 4 hits. I also hate that taste and would rather have a bit of juice in the mouth than a burnt hit, but to be honest, I kinda got to recognize the hit just before its gonna burn and haven't had the issue in a while.

Yeah Eric, the clear 306 is what I recommend to those learning atties, but I would try this, always take a quick short draw without firing when your pv has not been vaped for more than a minute or so. It ensures whatever juice that is in the atty wets the coil/wick. Also if you get a consistent burnt flavor try reducing the strength of your draw. Also a quick 10 minute dip in some vodka or PGA will help your atty perform as well. It will take a few puffs to get back to normal afterward. :)

You guys are awesome! Thank you. I've been off cigs for going on two years now lol but I'm still slow. I have a couple 306 atty's but no drip tip ywt for them. I can't wait to try them.

What are you using right now on it? If it's a carto then I would suggest tossing that in the garbage immediately. As for atties, when you notice a decrease in flavor or after 5 hits. Then just give it a quick feed.

i just started with cartos and i never get a burnt hit. I've tried with pre-filling carto and not. I prefer prefilling. Seems if i just squonk......i need many squonks before it's hitting properly. With the carto i get a smaller hit and i squonk. Took me a day or two before i could do it successfully in the car(blind squonking is a bit harder i find when i can only feel the gurgle as opposed to hearing it as well.) But after 4 days with my REO mini i can blink squonk successfully while running up stairs.

If you haven't tried a carto you might want to. Then again i have not tried one of my old attys with my REO yet; i've been totally happy with cartos.

You can always use the pseudo-cart (looks like a cart, but no filler, should have a hole in it though) that comes on the 306 for a short term solution until you get a drip tip. The drip tip is more comfortable, and looks better, but the pseudo-cart will work just fine. So don't wait to try out those 306s! I'm a big fan.

Everybody's already said it, but, in regards to the dry hits, you'll learn to feel for it. It took me a while after I switched to the REO to get it too, but you'll develop the sense of when to do it before the dreaded dratty taste. I don't even notice when I squonk now, it's just natural. And I came from an eGo-t setup where dripping wasn't necessary so it prolly took me longer to get used to than someone who dripped before finding the promised land that is REO.

I REFUSE to put up with the hassle, extra equipment, and mess that comes from dripping, though I must admit there isn't much that tastes better!
