It only came with a USB charging cable & the manual says it has a voltage range of 3.4v to 4.2v but all of my phone chargers etc that I have available say 5v output, will this be a problem? If so what am I supposed to use exactly to charge it?

No it won't be a problem. All USB ports are 5v output. The charging circuitry in the device will regulate that voltage to whatever is needed to charge your battery up to its maximum of 4.2 volts. 3.4 would be the minimum voltage the battery can have before the device cuts off and needs another charge. There is no harm in topping it up before that, however. Go ahead and charge it whenever is convenient.
