is it automatic after 5 posts or do i have to wait for an Admin to make the change? I really want to ask someone about their DIY recipe but keep getting blocked.

After your 5th post you have to wait 1 hr for the ECF servers to reset.
Best of Luck.
5 posts, than wait an hour or so for the server to notice. Sometimes you can log out and back in and it picks it up.
