One thing you mentioned on the other thread was that you didn't understand the dry hit thing? Did you figure it out? (If not, with the tank off the battery, cover the bottom carto hole and suck a couple of times until you feel some resistance [not airy], then you're good to go. Apparently this helps establish the suction from tank to cartomizer?)

After my early disasters, I can now fill 3 x 3.5ml tanks while the toast cooks in the morning. I really ought to go to 6ml tanks too, but they're so big. If someone who is so klutzy and has benign essential tremor (=very shaky hands) can get the hang of it, I reckon just about anyone can. As you say, it does make it handier than lots of cartos. Surprised you say it mutes the flavour though, I found my flavour exploded with freshness, which is one reason I was hooked the first day.

Happy tanking El !!!

yeahhhhhhhhhh, I just couldn't go to bed until I checked in to see how you were doing! As SD keeps saying there is a "learning curve" but now you've done it! :)

Thank you again, Dedi! You're a great hand-holder! :D

Now, let's see if I can do it again, with a second tank . . . :unsure::facepalm:

Oh El! I feel for you, it's frustrating when you can't get the hang of tanks, but glad to hear it sounds like you have :) i was at work today when all this was taking place and so glad dedi was here to 'talk you through it', I felt your anger and frustration coming through load and clear!

Heh. And of course I couldn't make my maiden Tank voyage with the cheapest juice I own, oh no, I had to experiment using one of my priciest juices! Aaaaargh!

Yay Eleanor!!!

Yes, thanks -- I was able to intuit that from Snow's video. :)

Glad you got it working Lady Eleanor, sorry for all the headaches though. Did you follow Snow sir's video?

You betcha! I'm dumb, but I'm not stoopid! The main difficulty is that my computer has no sound, so I had to watch and re-watch very closely, and it's difficult for me to "see" two places (the screen + my tank) at once!

I bet you never thought you'd see me cuss so much, huh Morandir?! :p

Glad you got it working Eleanore! I was so afraid I would do the same thing that I practiced with water before I attempted filling my tank with juice since I was very nearly out, and operation mailman stalk was in full swing :)
They're a beast until you get the hang of it!

He slowly peeks through the window...contemplating the fate that awaits him...the figure inside seems upset repeatedly cursing his very name.

I must say kudos to you....you're batting .500 and that was without any audio which has a few important things mentioned. It's late and I'm heading to bed but I will send you a PM tomorrow. I promise you'll be filling those tanks with the greatest of ease and soon these initial issues will be nothing more than a faint memory.

In any case I am very proud of you El for venturing into the world of tanks and expanding your vaping universe.

Eleanor...oh I feel your pain... I've been hit and miss on the tank adventure, but have pretty much gotten the hang of it now. The biggest thing for me is now when I'm having a problem I have some tricks to try and fix it. I fill my tanks when I have plenty of time to take it slow...and ensure it's not leaking before I leave the house. You'll get it with Snow's help, but I'd use your less expensive juice for the first few times:)

Eleanor...don't know if it was a sympathy dump or what...but after a long day, came home and tried to change out my tank (new carto..new flavor) and dump the whole (*&(*& tank on the counter. Cleaned up the mess and I will attempt again tomorrow night...don't have the patience now...

that stinks! My tank also pulled a sympathy strike - the bleeping carto died about 2 puffs into the freshly filled tank, and of course I didn't have a back up punched tank carto... More are on their way, but in the mean time, I'm going to have to drain the tank. Boo!

At least you can drain the tank...I thought about licking up the mess for a second..but decided it would not be in my best interest:oops:

teehee! Licking nicotine is not recommended, but I have been known to use my syringe to salvage dumped/ leaked juice - helps that I fill on a large plastic lid :p

Yikes. I hope I haven't jinxed ALL of us. 8-o

SnowDragon kindly sent me a long PM this morning. I'm just not in the mood today to revisit the effort.

Oh, I dunno . . . I've licked plenty of spilled/oozed/whooshed juice in the past year . . . only side effect has been the occasional case of "niccups." ;)

Albeit for large spills, hoovering most of it up with a syringe first is definitely the best policy! :D

Oh, I've whooshed before, sadly. Almost 4mL whooshed all over me (I smelled wonderful). My problem was, once the carto was free from the top seal, that baby came out like butter and Bob's your uncle. It gets easier over time. I prefer to let mine get pretty much empty now before fiddling with it just in case. I'm glad you had success!
