How do I tell when the battery is going dead?

I've been routinely testing voltage at the adaptor since I got it today; now on my second battery... these are my tentative results with moderate vaping:

Fresh charged - 4.2-4.3
0-1 hour - 4 - 4.1
1-2 hour - 3.8 - 3.9
2 hour plus - solid 3.7+

Haven't tested beyond about 4 hours because I love the 4 volts. ;)

Good info jdub. I'd be really curious to see the results after a few days of cycling.

I go through 3 mil a day and get 4 hours on the batteries for my protege. So how is everyone getting 8 hrs? I use the trustfire protected batteries. The blue ones. Do the tenergy unprotected last longer?

I vape as much as you and I'm getting 8 hrs of warm vapor.

Maybe your atty is high on the ohms and using more power to heat up. (old atty?)

Try a new atomizer.

Thanks, that's what I meant. I think it will be easy to determine when they need to be changed. I'm like you, when the vapor production slows I change batteries.

I use the Tenergy that came with the Protege and easily get 8 to 10 hours.
I use approx 2ml per day. Maybe the Trustfire is the problem.
When I used a standard 901 battery (180mah), I would get about 2 hours. The Tenergy is 900mah which is 5 times the standard battery... so 8 to 10 hrs. :)

Maybe these trustfires say 900 but actually aren't. I bought them from deal extreme but I read on another sku that they are less than actually stated. So that might be the reason for the time frame.
Just checked out deal extreme and according to the reviews their capacity is not 900 as stated but between 550 and 700. So that is the reason for the shorter span.
