i would like a simple recipie for an e liquid that has a very minty taste, i failed chemistry and am to old to repeat the course..lol.. some recipies call for water, others do not, i dont want to mess up my aty and have heard that if you dont get it right it can fry it..someone needs to write a book vaping for Dummies, i would be first in line..lol

Perfumers apprentice peppermint flavoring is pretty clean. Use it at 20% (2 ml per 10 ml of final eliquid) and you should get a pretty strong peppermint. No other flavorings, just nic liquid and cut it with PG/VG to get the final target mg/ml (I've been vaping it at 20 mg strength, about 70% PG 30% VG, like it)

I have had good luck with the Lorann's Creme De Menth. At 5% it comes out as a nice clean mint flavor and not like peppermint gum.

Also check out the stickies in this forum. There is a very nice DIY tutorial and a calculator to help with the mix ratios.

Uh oh. Another one caught the bug. Just wait Monica, you will find yourself buying all sorts of odd things and turning into a mad mixer. My theory is as people give up smoking and take up vaping they want to fill a void. Not just the smoking but also some sort of creative need that seems to come from... I don't know, somewhere.

My wife still wonders why I "have to swing by the cake supply store" on the way home every couple of weeks. Truth is I am totally hooked on my ultra simple mango mix. 15% Lorann's mango is magic to me. I have been brave and added a couple of drops of coconut (good but not super) and pear (no noticeable difference) from the perfumer's apprentice.

I make a straight Spearmint sauce with Perfumers Apprentice Spearmint. Mix at about 10% and add 1% sweetner. You are doing the right thing----reading the stickies. The DIY is really easy and there are many on here who will chime in to help you past the learning curve. Best of luck

nofalls, i dunno if i caught the bug or its just my ocd..lol.. alot of the flavors dont sound very appealling to me, i guess because i am still stck in the you eat cake and smoke tobacco mode, sure will be happy when that passes..lol
liv2ski, what kind of sweetener? i still havent figured out how to open the stickies, i keep clickin and nothin..lol.. right now i am trying to trick my mind and body as i get completely off of nicotine and i really appreciate everyone's help

I also learned that adding a drop of Wintermint to chocolate gives the Tootsie Roll Flavor! A few more drops makes Root Beer or I'm more sick than I think. LOL

Ethyl Malto (pre mixed from DIY Flavor Shack) which isn't as sweet as the Perfumers Apprentice Sweetner (from One Stop DIY). Either works and I do use both for different recipes.
