How do mini-tanks work?

I've been trying to figure out how these mini-tanks, specifically from Halo, vaporize the juice. The wicks are at the top so how do they burn the liquid at the bottom of the tank or when it gets below the wicks? I've been using one for about a week, refilled it 4 or 5 times. Sometimes when using I'll get little vapor and more air and then it stops. Now, it did the same thing but it's starting to taste burnt but there has always been liquid so I don't see how that could of happened.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this tank finished?

The Halo Triton tanks are essentially top-coiled, top-wicked clearomizers. Because the heating coil and wicks are at the top of the device, they are fighting gravity to keep the wicks soaked with juice, so it's suggested to frequently tip, or swirl, the tanks to resoak the wicks with juice as the liquid level drops while you vape. Not doing so will result in less juice to the heating coils, and result in dry hits or burnt taste.

You should occassionally clean your clearomizer with warm water. The following video will demonstrate how to do this. After some time, all heating coils stop working and will need to be replaced. Replacement heads/wicks are available for purchace when this becomes necessary.

Like any top wick tank they are intended to be held somewhat horizontally when vaping and, laid on their side to rest unless they are about 2/3 full or more, the wicks pick up the juice just fine that way.

I'm a newbie who uses Halo mini-tanks and it took me a little while to figure that out myself . But since I realized that I needed to keep the wicks saturated, I love using them. The "tip and twirl" motion is becoming second nature.

My first mini-tank is still going strong after a month and only one cleaning - not bad for 4 bucks.

The Triton head looks awfully similar to the Kanger T2 head except the wicks are longer on the Triton. I wonder if they are interchangeable and/or if there is a big difference performance-wise. The T2 heads are significantly cheaper in price.

The Triton is fully compatiple with T2 replacement coils. Most of the ones sold around are short wicks, but I think they works fine. I replace mine with 2.0 ohm heads, I use Smokeless Image X2s and I think they are the same threading as the Triton batteries. I have a couple of Triton tanks, but I also use standard T2s (cheaper) which don't screw all the way down (leave a slight gap), but they work just fine.
