I use my KR808D-1 style ecig anywhere I would have had a cigarette - except I don't use it as much as I smoked analogues. At home I tend to vape more often but in smaller 'sessions' and I do it freely. I've contemplated using it at the mall, in a bar, in a restaurant but haven't had the guts to do it yet. And am too shy to ask... I have ninja-vaped more than a few times. :)

I vape pretty much constantly at home, when I'm outside I carry an eGo and vape openly anywhere outside. When I'm inside (school, TTC, bars, etc.) I have a KR808D-1 with a juice that literally produces no smoke so I stealth vape. It's really awesome for those 3+ hour lectures and hanging out in the library. People just think I'm chewing on a pen lol :D:D

Funny story, I once had a guy come up to my desk and try to borrow my "pen." Hilarity ensued as he tried to take the "cap" off my "pen." I let him struggle for a couple seconds before I explained to him it was an electric cigarette, not a pen LOL :D :D :D

I vape everywhere but I am discreet about it. If I feel like a toot, I take a toot. 2 recent events...

My wife and I were having dinner in a restaurant and I accidentally took a primer puff as I normally do, Oops it went unnoticed :) I vaped the entire time I was there while waiting for food and after dinner finishing our wine.

Buying a new truck vaped throughout the dealership and in the BMs office while doing paperwork. I gave cards to my salesman and one of the mechanics for his father.

Most folks have heard of ecigs now and they say cool - do they really work and I say yes. IMMHO I believe it is high time we do go public with them, but not in your face public (if you know what I mean) and most respondents here seem to know :)

I pretty much vape just like I smoked. I am not to concerned about what people think of my Ego with a DCC tank on it. I feel if people can smoke and walk around then I can vape and do the same. I have been asked about it and enjoy educating people about it. I even educated and baffle the gas stations that sell the dispossables with 0 nic liquid in them. Long live vaping.

I vape openly outside and stealthily inside a business. It's easy once you realize you don't have to take a primer puff to get the vapor started. I've only been "caught" once and that was at a Huddle House. The waitress came over and asked me what I was smoking. I showed her my Ecig and she immediately knew what it was. She called over the entire shift staff and had me explain it to them, crowded around my table. I gave them some links to check out, here and some suppliers.

I treat vaping as a private thing so I normally vape just like I smoked. It's about a person in me trying hard to avoid analogs. So it has nothing to do with other people. It's about me. I don't vape to draw attention like, "look at me, I've quit smoking, aren't you proud of me?" Man, people, especially those who have never smoked in their entire life, don't give a crap, believe me. I've been eating in restaurants where I can finish my food without thinking of having a smoke inside. You mean I cannot now wait to vape outside? Having said all these, I don't discourage vapers who want to vape anywhere they feel vaping. If the purpose is to make people get used to seeing vapers in public, I'm on your side. I'll do my part and inch my way to it.

If I'm in an area that allows smoking (so basically outside) I use it very freely. Only once while I was standing in front of a mall was I asked to move. I said sure but its not smoke its an ecig. The guy waited a second and said oh never mind then carry on.

While inside places I am just another stealth vaper, unless I have asked permission but even then I don't let it all go like when I am outside or at home.

My boss likes to walk by my desk and try and guess my flavour of the day. Usually she is wrong as our kitchen is right next to where I sit :D

I vape when and where i want to, just act normal "so far i have not been told to stop and i vape everywhere...except for that post about vaping in church...I dont know about that"...if people have questions they can ask...dont feel weird, keep a filled carto in your pocket so people can try it..

I have seen people vaping in parking lots and inside their cars. They just act like they are smoking a cig. It's just a lot easier to act like a regular smoker I guess.Although people stare at all smokers .Everyone in my family think it's great.

Everyone in my family thinks it's weird. Whatever... :)

I usually vape allt he time at my own place inside at at my business and bar. But at public locations like malls and other places i tend to still act like a smoker and just vape outside instead of indoors. Idk, i just don't really like drawing attention to myself with it I guess. Usually ppl see u puff out some smoke and tend to stare at you wrong thinking your smoking inside lol...

I dunno ... I have been kinda self conscious vaping in public. The first time I did this woman looked at me shocked and horrified because I think she thought it was a crack pipe or something. When I go out for a walk I will usually bring my PV with me and takes a few hits here and there, but mostly I vape at home.

510 and 808's are what I use around the family stealth vaping. They have no idea I am a vaper. But at home I chain vape off my mod's. Out in public I always ask where I am at if I can vape and have converted a few peeps over to them who are smokers. I think it's real important to educate while out, to get people off those cancer sticks. I vape a heck of alot driving too. Always put it down when I see a cop car though

Oh Canada
I ususally go into "stealth mode" when in public. The other night my brother and I were at a local pool hall/bar. We were playing the video lotto machines when the lady working there approched us and asked my brother if he was smoking, he said "no" and showed her his Volt. She acted like she knew what it was and said "oh, ok its one of those electric thingy's" then left. Not even 2 minutes later she came back and said " um I just checked with management and they said it is against our policy for you to use that in here, because of the scent". We said "thats fine" and stopped vaping (except in the mens room-lol).

Anyhow, Im sure as hell this place had NO policy on e-cigs whatsoever. And as far as "scent" goes, Im sure it smelt way better then all the people there gambling for hours and hours on end.

As a smoker, I was always aware of and considerate to not offend innocent bystanders. As a vaper, I'm also very aware when I'm vaping (outside of my home) that it may "look" odd to a bystander, and that many people have an immediate negative reaction to what may "look like" smoking. I don't want to be "in your face" about vaping 'cause that will make a negative impression! I just do my thing and use smaller, cig sized devices in public!

I love the opportunity to educate someone who asks but I don't always "feel like" explaining what I'm doing!
That said, I've never had an interaction with a stranger that wasn't positive and informative (for them), or rewarding for me!
