I am wondering how people act with their e-cig. I am seeing a lot of different people every day and after 3 months knowing that it exists, I have never yet seen someone vaping in my face. I am a loner.

Do you get to see unknown people vaping? Then where is that? At school, at the mall?, in a restaurant?

How do you act with your device in front of non-smokers or public places?

Myself, I hide the habit unless I am with other vapers. But I am the only vaper with mostly non-smokers. :(

I vape openly where accepted. In other words, in places where I would have smoked...except I can vape in my home and in my car (out of respect for my kids, I didn't smoke in those locations).

Other than at a vape meet, I haven't seen anyone using an ecig. When I am out and about, I use mine openly. I've had a few people approach and ask about it and have been happy to share info with them.

I tend to treat my e-cig as a real cig. I will vape in the allocated smoking areas so that the only questions I get are from smokers who have no clue what I am doing. I vape walking out in the street and in the car openly and don't care about the stares it attracts since I am used to it after 2 years +

Huh. The one place I absolutely don't smoke is in allocated smoking ares. It STINKS there. :p

I've converted 2 of the 6 smokers at work so far. My boss threatened to kick my .... when he saw me smoking cigars hehe. but going back to the ecig killed that nasty habit and they were impressed... I'll convert most of them in time :D ... it's like ritual to meet at the building front at shift changes to share a smoke. we work 12 hr shifts and see each others only as we change over... dam stinky things. lucky for me during this cold spell I can vape inside

Yea winter is my favourite thing about e-cigs, no going out side to freeze my tail off.

I'm with Mopar. Nothing to hide, so I openly use my Silver Bullet while I'm on breaks or at lunch while at work. I've had a few folks more than curious about it, and have explained it to them. I've also asked and vaped openly in most bars/restaurants that I've visited downtown without any issues. Just ask, the most they can do is say no. Most places, I explain and let them know that I'll stop if somebody has a problem with it. Not happened yet. Now, mind you, I don't blow HUGE billowing clouds of vapor while I'm at most establishments, but also don't hide behind my napkin while vaping. Being courteous to the folks around you is key to getting this accepted. :)

I chain vape at home and in the vehicle, vape walking down the street if I feel like it but try not to be obnoxious about it. The biggest treat for me was showing the two guys I work with what was up when I got my goodies. They were uber impressed (one quit smoking years ago and the other is a non-smoker) but they were both cool about my vaping at my computer desk. No problems whatsoever. The building manager drops in every other day or so (he's a smoker) and is intrigued. Love being able to pull it out and have a couple of satisfying vapes whenever I feel like it at work. And particularly in the winter as noted above, lol. Nice to go to my non-smoking friends houses and vape as well but I always ask them first anyway. Don't go out much so no experience in public places but really haven't had any issues with it anywhere.

Using a KR808 style Auto battery, Less intimidating to the onlookers, I vape just about anywhere. And if I'm there long enough, this includes the supermarket when in a lonely isle, walmart, Home Depot, Chapters, StarBucks, the college campus halls... If in a business I do try to keep it down and not blatantly flaunt it, but I don't try to be overly secretive and look more suspicious. When going through Ride programs I leave my 808 in hand at my steering wheel, not one officer has questioned it or brought up the distracted drive thing, I do use a rubber Bloog mouthpiece and Auto Bat to be hands free at any moment. I've only had one person verbally get upset with my vaping. That was outside near a hot dog vender who was standing over his BBQ in a weatherized tent inhaling toxic gases from burning propane. (Barrie Bayfield st Canadian Tire bearded guy) This Hot Dog vender keeps saying Smoke when I say water vapour and says you can't smoke near a food prep area. A few onlookers know what I got and want it. An elderly lady smoking in her farm vehicle almost ran me over at walmart to get my ecig for herself. When vaping in front of strangers I prefer to vape from off center of my lips, this looks less phallical and more sophisticated.
