I love the reactions I get a Walmart!! Especially at night when the Walmart freaks come out. The looks from old ladies are priceless. Like they just witnessed Satan himself picking out his morning cereal.

I just vape like I would smoke a cigar, but the Echos I vape are much loved by compairison of the stogie smell.

Smokers are way marginalized these days. I always see them smoke far and away buildings like hospitals, shopping malls, etc. I feel sorry for them sometimes. The only difference I see between them and me now is that I don't need to abuse my lungs to satisfy the habit. But outwardly, I'm still one of them and I will act the same way they do when it comes to quenching the craving.

I vape in many places openly - including restaurants and pubs. But I keep my own little list of vaping ethics:

- Never vape near children or in places where high school kids hang out
- Always ask - in public places I ask the people next to me first if it's okay with them (and give a very brief explanation). If the manager or staff member addresses me - I also explain and ask if it's okay to continue.
- Respond graciously to every complaint - I'll stop immediately if someone is bothered and give them a small card explaining what an ecig is. But I won't start up again unless they are really comfortable with it.

Smoking is marginalized - but it's also stinky and dirty and potentially dangerous to bystanders. I hope to be part of building a better reputation for vapers and vaping.

I vape pretty much the same as I smoked when in public. I've been asked a couple of times about it, but mostly I'm just another smoker in most peoples eyes. The only place I stealth vape is in the public washroom , and only if no one else is there. Don't want to cause a misunderstanding.

I act like its a cig,openly outside but a little closer to people than before when I STUNK and in my house and car I vape like a freight train

Wow, I can't believe what a minority I'm in.

I basically vape nonstop, every waking minute, and never even consider where I am when I'm doing it. I've only rarely been asked about it, and have never had a negative reaction to it. I don't even realize I'm doing it most of the time. That's probably why I don't get flak about it, I act like it's no big deal and people must pick up on that.

This summer, a car crashed through a barbwire fence on my farm, and a police officer came to the house to tell us about it. I was talking to her and vaping away without thinking about it. I use a crazy looking tank mod, and she kept giving me odder and odder looks until I clued in and explained it to her. I made some jokes about what she must have thought it was, and it was promptly a non-issue again.

My girlfriend also tells me that I'm intimidating looking, so that might account for the absence of complaints too, I don't know.
