Everytime I clean an atty, it dies soon after. I just don't understand how people do it. I've tried every way and allowed diifferent drying methods, and no luck. Bah.
So I now keep a bottle of pure PG at 18 mgs, and I basically vape that a few times a day, if not more. It workds great. Ever since I started my LR attys last alot longer, the flavors stay cleaner, and I don't lose any atties in the process. So thats my "cleaning" method.

I have a bottle of 24mg unflavored PG I got from LF a while back.. been using it to DIY but I took it out a little while ago and added a drop to my atty and it's really good. I added a drop of cappuccino juice to give it a bit of flavor and it does seem to improve my atty. I've tried all the cleaning methods (and I just might try to baking soda/vinegar method mentioned above) and I still don't really know what works best. I try to leave mine alone and just simply blow them out frequently. My experience has been that harsh cleaning does shorten the life. Just my opinion.

I'm looking at my bottle of unflavored PG nic juice in a new light!

Depends on why I am cleaning em. If I am changing flavors, and the flavors are somewhat similar or I do not mind a minor and brief infusion, I'll just blow it out, run it under hot water for a minute and dry burn the water and remaining juice off of the coils.

If I am trying to get the flavor all of the way out, I've used baking soda and vinegar, isopropyl alcohol, or mouthwash. Followed by a rinsing under hot water with a dry burn.

From reading some threads on this forum. For my cisco 306's: I soak them in 91% isopropyl alchohol over night. Then I rinse them thoroughly in water (Some don't but something about leaving the iso in there scares me. Yeah, it might all evaporate but I'm not taking any chances LOL) and then let them sit for 2 days. Seems to be doing pretty good. Abandoned dry burning because the coils on these are sensitive as hell.

But, I'm gonna be purchasing a hand held steamer soon to clean my atties.

Every night I leave my atty upside down on a piece of tissue to drain out and every two weeks i give it a soak in vodka for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water and leave to dry over night:)

I've been doing the paper towel deal and it seems to work just fine if I dont have time to do a glycerin flush and dry burn after a few days of dark juice vaping. I've seen so many vids of people using coke and all sorts of crazy things! I'm not even going there. Vodka makes sense. Steaming them does too. I still haven't tried the denture tablet and cofee mug trick. I've read from several people on the forums that it works great.

I soak mine in 91% iso alcohol for a couple hours, blow out the excess alcohol, and let dry over night. The next day I do a minimal dry burn and its ready to go again when I need it. I do this about every two weeks depending upon how the atty is performing for me.

Thus far my attys have last a minimal of 5 months and I still have one working after having used it for almost 11 months so far.

Blow out. Run hot water from faucet through it a few times, blowing out.... let it dry, or "warm burn" it mostly dry. Vape.

Takes 2 minutes and no other stuffis required.

Will also rinse with ISO sometimes.

I use one atty per month. I don't rotate them. It isn't out of commission for long. After a month at 5 volts, I retire it to the "used atty bin".

I use a small glass with a couple ounces of Isopropyl Alcohol. Toss the attys in, swirl around. Swirl every 5 minutes or so for an hour, rinse them out with hot water, blow them out, dry for 5+ hours. Prime, vape, enjoy.

I really only do this to get rid of bad juice flavours. Honestly, I usually end up debridging them soon after this process, as I find they develop a cruddy taste within a day or two.

Best of luck. I'm curious to see how other people go about it. I was thinking about traveling back in time, and swapping my dirty atty out for the clean one in the past, but that of course would create a compounding paradox and theoretically my present atty would be soooo dirty it would be unusable.

Drats.

Ultrasonic bath in boiling water, 3 cycles 3 minutes each, followed by a PGA flush, then air dry overnight

Perhaps this would explain the foul taste? It is possible that at some point in the future you are traveling back to the present and taking your freshly cleaned attys and swapping them out for the dirtys.

Soak in vodka for 30 mins, gently move atty around to free up gunk, soak for another 30, blow out from battery end and let sit for a couple mins. Prime and vape. No problems here.

I just did the same thing for the first time...except I left it soak for a full 24 hours...after I blew it out I dry burned it a few times first then loaded it and done....worked well for me....BFB

I use a flavor injector from the kitchen, looks like a giant syringe, and a rubber grip off of a pen. Put the rubber grip on the end of the injector, instead of the giant needle, then insert the carto into the rubber grip and suck hot water up through it and then push it out. Do this three times and all the juice is gone.

I've been using a drop or 2 of lemon juice, let it sit, then rinse with very hot water for a few minutes, blow out and air dry. For the super gunk I've been soaking in apple cider vineagar for 10 minutes then rinsing them out and air drying the same way. I'm a little scared to dry burn! perhaps in a desparate moment I will gather the courage.
