When somebody ask if my Grand is one of those "electronic thingys", I tell them that a lot of e-cigs look more like a cigarette, but the batteries and cartridges don't last, performance is sketchy and they're flimsy, so this is more like an industrial-strength all-day sucker. I show them the bottle, battery and atomizer - simple and hassle-free.

Well as I explained to the cop that stopped me at the transit station last week, it is in fact not a bomb detonator.

When I am working at my local e-cig shop, people always think I have some special version of an iTaste MVP. I usually have to take the REO apart and show them how it works, several times a day. Most don't get it or are completely lost. But then again, our customer base is mostly people who are buying eGo starter kits or young kids who are into vaping because it is the current cool thing right now.

That makes me curious. Are these kids that once used analogs or is there now a trend to vape 'cause it's cool?

Black wrinkle with gold door?

Or maybe a Black wrinkle with black door and you could add a "sticker" of the batman logo.
Thinking a grande in black and grey, and add a Batman logo sticker. Then of coarse a black and red mini 2.1 for Robin. (spending my money before i have it) I have to stay out of the reos forums.

Some of them are prior smokers, but we get a lot of people who got into it because they have gone to Hookah Bars and they all call them a "mini hookah". They usually get zero nic juice. And minors get ...... off when we won't sell anything to them because apparently there are rumors that you don't have to be 18 to buy them. I wish I could convince them not to go down this path, but I know it is a lost cause. Though I figure if they are going to start smoking or using this, I would rather see them using this. I do try my best to inform them that this is only a safer alternative and that we do not know what the long term effects could be. But my guess is most of them will stop using these after the cool factor wears off.

My family and I went to a birthday party in the neighborhood for one of my sons friends last night. The adults and I were all sitting around outside shooting the shizz and I was vaping my grand like a mad man. I even had a molson.

The dude next to me asked if it was an electric cigar. I asked him if he saw the blu cig commercials? He said yep.

I said its one of those on steroids - lee majors - bionic man style. He appeared fascinated as I showed him how it worked, unscrewed the top of the RM2, yada yada yada. He was a non smoker.

Later I drove home on my golf car to make me a latte, and took my VVG out to party.

As we were cleaning up later, the dude who hosted the shindig approached me and wanted to look at my vaporizer (he smelled like cigs). I showed him the deal and he said he had an evo that he used from time to time but not recently. He said he just couldn't get used to the taste. So I told him id hook him up with some unflavored nic. We talked more about vaping and the local B&M and ECF. He wants to check out ECF now too.

Well the party turned into a kids sleepover. So I brought my son home to have him shower up and pack his bag. When I returned, it was with a bottle of unflavored. But his (turned out to be an EGO) setup was out of charge. I washed off my drip tip and let him hit the grand that I brought back. He smiled and said that was what he was looking for. So I told him to give me a shout when he gets back in town and well get ya set up.

This morning when I went to pick up my son, the dude comes out to tell me that he has been very happily vaping the unflavored nic all morning :)
Only smoked 2 cigs when he first woke up.

Sorry for the wall o text but that's what I tell em about my REO :)

I have met a few people locally that vape and there always interested in my Reo. Most of them seem to think im crazy because there Chinese ego only cost them $40. I just tell them mine will outlast 10 of there egos and its well worth the investment.

^^^^That. It amazes me that people just don't seem to understand basic math. I can't tell you how many people balk at the price of pvs....not just REOs, even, when they pay $6.00 a pack day in and day out, month after month, year after year....

I have discovered, though, that a lot of people who smoke actually don't pay that much because I guess somewhere through the years when I wasn't paying attention, BUMMING cigarettes.....all the time....INSTEAD of buying....became okay. I'm not sure when that became such a common practice because I never did it.

When people smoke all the time, but only buy a pack of cigarettes every few days.....with change found under couch cushions.....the math isn't intuitive. With me, I was paying $65 a week for a carton of cigs....every week.....and I've saved THOUSANDS of dollars over the three years I've been vaping.....IN SPITE of my REO collection. :)

and then I say, "what are you laughin' at? . . . . . . . are you laughing at me? . . . . . . . . . . . ohhhhhhh, so you think I'm funny, huh? . . . . . . . .. I amuuuuuuuuuse you."

My black grand - uses fewer coils than your wife, is cheaper to maintain, - yes yes - a bath once a week and a battery or two a day- rather similar.

My grand does not cook me crap food or remind me of every time i have ever failed to leave the cat flap open! It does not nag me that that hole in the wall needs to be fixed (but i didn't make it - get them to do it?)

It's my black sentinel: sitting there waiting for that 6am moment to spring into life with a decent vape! Can't beat that!

Agree 100%, in NY its over $10 a pack and I used to smoke 2 packs a day, I'm a Math teacher so do the Math!! Been vaping for 2 1/2 years and have saved over $16,000 haven't spent more than 5% on vaping materials, Reo user and I diy and RM2 user so I make my own atties. And by the way, great chance of avoiding cancer. People never cease to amaze me.

"An advanced form of an Electronic Cigarette." Then I open the door and point out, "That's the Battery, that contains a flavored vegetable glycerin that contains 1.2% liquid nicotine, and the round thing on top contains an ignition coil." Then I replace the door and take a deep puff and exhale off to the side so they can see how it works. At that point I'm often asked "Does it work ?" I always reply, "Well, I smoked for 40 years. then quit in two days using this thing." If they mention Gas Station E-Cigs I tell them the cost of the Mini, and the RM2, and the battery.....

and that usually ends the conversation. :vapor:

That's the problem with gas station e cigs. Usually peoples first venture into vaping and many go back to cigs because the cheap e cigs don't cut it and I see why. Yet, if for example, Reos were sold at gas station who would put up around $160 to try something new for first time. Imagine if newcomers could have Reo vaping experience right out of the box? Tough problem.

Yep, yep, & YEP! I don't care for the term 'e-cig' either cause there is a huge difference in form factor of my Reos vs a cigarette, & I really appreciate that! And it amazes me how quick ppl balk at the price, all the while spending way more on a few weeks supply of cancer sticks w/out a thought. Nowadays when folks ask I tell em it's a vaporizer & costs about as much as a few cartons of cigs. Then I tell em about the cost SAVINGS after the initial purchase. Most of em seem to like the idea, but sadly just keep on doin what they're doing...
