Silver Vein throughout
This is the first time I have held the mini and am impressed with how well it's put together. Just like a grand but smaller. With the RM2 it performs just as well though which means I am a happy camper (again). Well that and my new micro coil jig which i'll explain later...
I work from home so usually don't worry about being present to sign for packages. The last REO I got the mail carrier simply tossed it in the mailbox and drove off, no signing or anything. Not this time, he didn't even attempt to deliver it and simply left me with one of those "We attempted to deliver" slips in the box. The fact that he had it already filled out, and drove off before I could get out there (i watched from the window) was kindof upsetting. I thought about hopping in the jeep (03 Wrangler X) or getting on the DR650 and giving chase but thought better of it, instead opting to wait till 5pm and pick it up at the post office.
Here she is:
As usual, everything in order and perfect.
So the part about my new coil jig, we all know it is the little things that can make a vendor or business stand out. REOSmods gets it, and I wish more businesses would take advantage of this. I opened my box in the post office parking lot and there was something special inside. Something that made me laugh, smile and completely forget about USPS and the silly hassle they put me thru. When I ordered the mini I had written in the comments a request for a couple porcupine quills, kindof jokingly since that's how I usually roll. But Robert sent them, even had their own plastic bag.
1/16 music wire, couple of quills, old coil and a quarter
I wrapped the mini's first coil with it
It came out perfect and vapes better than anything else I have tried. Porcupine quill coils are the best when using a REO, just keep plenty of bandaids on hand.
Thank you Robert, and the rest of the cast of characters @ REOVille. Life is good...
