Why not? We cook with it and distill spirits and brew beer in it.

All those methods the copper goes threw your gut not your lungs. But thats cool i wanted to get people opinions about it. But yes it is considered safe up to a certain amount when going threw your digestive tract.

True. But if the juice is not acidic there really should not be anything to liberate to many copper atoms. IMO I would not be too concerned. Stainless steel would be a better option though

Not sure I have any copper in contact with juice on any mod I have. But I've heard it will discolor the juice.

Yeah someone posted a picture awhile back of his tank he made and the juice was a nasty green color after a week i believe he said it was. Might have just been acidic juice. I will see if i can dig it up it was 4 or 5 months ago i read his post.

I remember someone using copper tubing for a bottom feeder mod and ended up having to change it to brass.

I found this picture of a brass pipe in e juice for two weeks. For sure has a green tint to it. one on the left is the same juice without having brass in it for 2 weeks. Bad thing about brass is it is copper and zinc mixed together.

Does anyone here has copper plumbing? Probably about a 1/3 of you, if not a few more. Your water sits in those pipes under pressure 24/7, until you draw it. And then sits again, pushing against it's soldered joints. Also some fridge water lines are copper, some hot water heaters have copper coil contact with your water. All copper piping uses soldered joints and has for decades. This is just to name a few instances. Your doctor can order blood tests for heavy metals and lead if you are concerned. So, should we panic? I won't lose any sleep tonight.

This is not about causing a panic but about getting peoples opinions about the use of it in contact with juice. I mean sure you can compare it with drinking water or eating, but the simple fact it with e juice your inhaling it. It is not going threw your stomach it is going threw your lungs.

While I know my water at home is laying in copper pipes with solder its much cheaper to use electrical lead solder, china was makin toys with lead paints not too long ago and they all got recalled..not trying to pull any alarms just curiuos if any one looked into it.

I dont think you would have to worry about it with companies like joyetech that are reputable. But some of the knocks off that are really cheap make me wonder sometimes what they do in the manufacture process to sell them so cheap.

that's exactly my thoughts. I'm not sure where clearomizers are made or who makes them. I was looking at my wifes stash of them and just was wondering.
