How do you go about trying your new eliquid for the first time?

Hi all....so like many of us on here...I order a lot of different juices from different vendors, different flavors, etc. I primarily use an 808 from V4L...and I also have a standard 510 battery that I use with cartos...along with the "Hello Jewels" product, which is basically like an eGo in fun colors with some "bling" on it. LOL Its also 510 compatible and I use cartos for that.

OK...based on all of that, I typically have to fill a carto any time I get new liquids, and if I end up not liking the flavor, I feel like its a total waste of a carto...or its just a pain to try the whole reverse Taryn spin to get the juice out.

How do you typically try your flavors for the first time? With my Hello Jewels (here is a link for reference: Hello Jewels) it came with an atomizer and some tank cartridges, but it was producing a funny taste that way, so I just use cartos with it now. I've never tried "dripping", and honestly wouldn't know how to do that with any of the products I have, If thats the best way to test flavors...how do I do it?

Any tips on how you typically test out your new liquids would be great...I really hate filling a whole carto just to find out I don't like the flavor.

I usually just drip a few drops into a clean atomizer(with empty cart of course), or an empty filler-less cartomizer like the CE2.

I also drip. But that's not a good solution because of lingering taste.

I use atties to try juices. You can use a sonic cleaner to get the lingering tastes out or just vape PG for a while.

Genelman and/or AaronY - Thanks for the tip. So on my eGO-like battery...i would just put a few drops right into the atomize it came with and attach a drip tip to that? Sorry..I've never tried dripping before so not exactly sure what to do. (for my regular 510 and my 808, I only have cartos, no atomizers came with them)

No need to use a dt can use the plactic thing that came with the atty. 4-5 drops at first. 2-3 after a min or two. Hope it works out for you. The taste differs on a slightly on attys vs cartos. So that way you can find out what flavors you like before you devote a carto to it

i dont think there is any way other than using a new carto/atty or cleaning a used one really well.

you could try using a carto/atty that has similar flavor. if you clean it out well it can work. but to get the true taste, you just need to risk wasting a carto.

it sucks. and this is the reason why i have pretty much stopped sampling new juices. my cartos cost less than $2 but it still adds up. for example, if i try a sampler pack from a vendor, its typically 5 or 6 juices. i usually like 1 or 2 if im lucky. so thats at least $20 for the sampler pack and at least $10 for cartos. sometimes its WELL worth it, other times i find that im spending $30+ for juices i barely like and a handful of cartos that just lay around bc i dont want to chuck them (brand new cartos).

BUT if you are willing to do the work and clean your cartos out...(menthol, cinnamon, and some other flavors are impossible to wash out).... you can use this: Cartomizer/Atomizer Cleaning Kit - With 10ml Control Syringe, Luer-lock compatible w/cleaning tubes and instructions

for your ego get a LR atomizer, I use bauway 1.5ohms , it is really easy to try juices, when new 5-6 drops and puff a couple don't inhale yet, do 2-3 more drops and just HIT IT !!! best taste ever for sure, better than CE2 and Cartos, I drip at home and carto tank it at work. To change Flavors, I take off the cannon tip/ or whatever tip it has , put it on the other side and blow out all the juice from the thread side to the bridge side, clean excess and reload with new juice, the new juice will take over flavor in a couple of drip and hits. Has been the best way for me to taste new juices. Hope it makes sense, if not there are a lot of videos on youtube on how to drip.

I boiled out all the freebie cartos that came with mods being that most ended up being flavors I didn't like anyway and I use those. The filler doesn't really matter when trying out new juices. You can tell good enough whether it's going to be something you like or not. The juices I like typically taste good or better in just about anything once they have passed the filler carto test.

I have given up "tasting" new flavors (although I buy and try a lot ) and attys in general (I have them for backup though.)

Now what I do is just vape through a bottle I like while the others steep then move on to the next. If I don't like the new stuff I blow out the carto put that juice in the emergency/crap stash and refill.

Im all about convince/saving money now.
Most my cartos outlive my atty, and I kinda carto drip (chainvape lol) all day anyhow

Edit: when u test on an atty the flavor is usually better/stronger than on a carto. I use to be slightly disappointed when switching it to a carto. One more reason I just use a carto-u don't have that losing flavor (from first taste) memory
