I just started to vape, and I haven't seen anyone else vape so I am just figuring it out myself. How do you hold your vape? Are you male or female? Does your sex and how you hold your vape matter, does anyone pay attention to this?

I'm a guy, and when I smoked analog cigarettes I would hold the cigarette between my index and middle finger and lean it up against the thumb when resting. When I brought it up to smoke, I'd curl my fingers over so it's resting on my thumb and top of my middle finger, while my index is holding it from above. With analog cigarettes the balance was diffrent, and I'd hold it closer to the filter.
I don't have a "way" yet with my vape, it's much heavier with a lot more weight near the battery. It's a Volt, so it's about the size of a 100's. So far I tried to keep my fingers away from the holes on the joint between the battery and the cartomizer, but I'm not sure if those are important, because it seems like when you take a drag the air comes through near the LED. This leaves me holding it by the battery.
I actually feel like I want to just hold it by my teeth, but I don't want to damage the cartomizer, or the joint between the cart and the battery. Does anyone else hold it just by their teeth, and have been doing it for a while? have you noticed any issues that may have been caused by this?

In my experience it is best to have the ecig balance at the position of the button, as with the Joye 510 standard battery and JOYE 510 carto. I agree about damaging soft plastic cartos with my teeth. Worst thing is when the carto deforms enough so the cap pops off easily--danger of choking on the cap. The JOYE 510 carto is hard plastic so no problem holding it between my teeth and the cap doesn't pop off during the life of the carto.

HTH,
Dave

Regular ego, button on top, 1st finger on button, thumb directly underneath. Middle and ring fingers naturally in place, but what I do that may be different is my pinky. I put it on the flat end of the ego battery, touching on the side of my first knuckle. It helps me stabilize it. If it were an analog, my pinky would be on fire all the time.

When I use my GLV2 mod I grip it with my 4 fingers and use my thumb on the button. It's so comfortable in my hand that many times I forget that I'm holding it and actually drop it. About the only other way to use it is to hold it like a gun and use my index finger on the button, I rarely use it like this. I have a ego usb passthrough (detachable from the cord) and I will ususally hold it with 4 fingers on top and my thumb on the button on the bottom. Once in a while I'll spin it around and use my index finger on the button while holding it the same way; 4 fingers on the top with my thumb underneth. I really don't think there are too many different choices for holding most PVs and mods.
