How do you keep them cool?

I work in a warehouse that has no air conditioning. It can get up over 100 degrees in here on very hot days and the average summertime temp in the warehouse is probably about 83 degrees. I carry my batteries and my pre-filled cartomizers in my pocket while I'm at work.

I just started vaping about a week ago and I haven't had to deal with any extreme weather conditions since then.

I'm thinking the hot weather will most likely dry out my pre-filled cartos resulting in a lot of wasted money.

Aside from leaving them at home in the AC, is there any way to avoid dried out cartos in the summertime heat?

I work a wood-fired brick oven 8-10 hours a day with my mods/tanks/juice in my pocket or nearby. Generally it's 80-85 degrees in the kitchen, but my oven runs at 600+ I haven't had any issues.

I can't help thinking that pre-filled cartomizers would be more likely to dry out than tanks.

I've seen claims on packaging of pre filled carts having a shelf life of 1 year...seems to me that they'd be ok. I would think that 80 degrees would not dry them out drastically, I would worry more about leaving them in a hot car or in direct sunlight. Are they sealed, or at least capped with the little rubber deals to keep them moist?

I carry them in a small case but I have not been using the rubber seals. I might have to try that when the weather heats up.

I have a thermometer on my desk and it is 79.2 degrees in here right now. I'm not at all concerned right now because it doesn't really feel hot to me. It's those sweltering days when I sweat just standing around that I'm most concerned about.

I would keep the rubber caps on them personally, case or not. Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much unless you pull out a full cart and its bone dry.

Most liquids don't degrade until they're well above or below the "danger zone". For most liquid medicines, many of which contain PG, the storage temperature is between 32-85 degrees Fahrenheit. I imagine e-liquid is roughly the same, though I am unaware of the degradation thresholds for VG and liquid nicotine.

Source: A mother who is a nurse and 20 years of working knowledge with liquid medicine. Don't blame me if your e-liquid evaporates or degrades at a lower temperature, but I imagine you'd be safe for a few hours.

Similar story here. I ordered Redds cartos (best I've tried). The Redds come in a little plastic case like a pocket pill case, perfectly sized to hold 5 cartos with the rubber caps all on them.

The difficult part is sorting which cartos are full and which ones are exhausted. I usually just leave the rubber caps off the exhausted cartos to make sure I grab one and puff a cloud of scorching filler material.
