Depends on the time frame.

For the next year not so bad with some taxes coming up.
Most places that do not allow smoking will also not allow vaping there.

About 1 yr ejuice gets regulated and manufacturers must be certified and perhaps only tobacco flavors can contain nicotine.

About 2 years all high powered mods must be UL listed.

Just a couple of predictions.

E-cig sales has exploded over the past two years and market analysts predict that the market will grow 24.2 percent per year through 2018 and that e-cig sales will surpass cigarette sales within 10 years. Sales have grown from $500 million in 2012 to just over $1 billion in 2013 to $2.5 billion in 2014 and Wells Fargo predicts that sales will hit $3.5 billion in 2015.

It's not a matter of if but when government will impose new restrictions on e-cigs. I think the best possible outcome will be that the FDA decides that they will only impose an age restriction (which has been pretty much self-imposed by the industry already) and that vaping will be treated just like smoking and will be banned wherever smoking is banned. Of course this will then open the door for the federal and state government to levy their sin taxes on it.

The worst possible outcome would be for the FDA to impose strict testing on every ejuice, etc. That will effectively destroy the market and the only ones left will be BT.

I'm a retired smoker after 45 years and vaping was the only way I was going to stop smoking and it worked. My views are old fashioned on the future of vaping. I see cloud chasing in public as a negative and more of a hobby then a way to quit smoking. I feel strongly about teenagers vaping. B&M stores have to be monitored so they are not selling ecigs or ejuice to minors. Safety is another big issue, which I blame on cheap mods which are easily affordable to teenagers.Granted I started with a ego kit, but it didn't take me long to move up to safe mods and only use high quality batteries. I've had a few mods in almost 2 years and not a lot of tanks or attys. A few Kanger Evods when I started, then moved to cartos, and now only Kayfuns. I have 3 mods which have been proven over and over to be the safest mods on the market. My batteries are all top quality and Authentic not rewraps. We shall see what the outcome is but I'm sure the junk will fall by the wayside.

We do not need any regulations. We do not need to give in to or give them anything. Don't let them tax a heathier alternative forcing many to not even want to try and make the switch. Why should they...it's just as expensive if not more expensive than cigs. You give em an inch they will take a mile. First its starts with "a little regulation"... Maybe a 5¢ tax on liquid per ml. Next thing you know they start bumping that up saying well if they pay 5¢ then they will pay 10¢ next 20 next 40,80, $1.00. They did the same with cigs and now...what is it...$3 bucks a pack in just taxes. BT, BG, and big pharma are money drunk on your money. Its not about your health! Its about you padding their pockets. Get involved!

Health would be a good reason to vape and not smoke. What is your solution? Riots? I'm sorry I don't understand your logic.

You are a voter...exercise your right. I hear defeatest attitudes and that's why this country is in the shape its in. It sounds like we have already lost. Call your representative. Let them know this is a wedge issue for you. Tell them you will not continue to support them if they continue to vote against public health for big money. Do me a favor...pull up the vapor bill in you state...find the rep's sponsoring the bill...now look for a list of their contributors...I'll be more than willing to bet you the farm that some of their campaign contributors are tobacco and pharma. You "threaten" their job they will listen and that's the only way they will listen. I'm a republican but I don't give two flying flips what party that canidate represents I'll vote against that canidate if they sponsor such legislation. That's my logic

To start, join CASAA. Each vapor needs to become an activist. Reply to calls of action with letters, phone calls and visits to city council meetings. Find out how the government officials in your area stand on the vape issues. It has become so easy to let them know where you and other vapers stand, letters, and now even email. Yes, I know this is a single issue but if the politicians get wind of a block vote of vapers, it might sway them to vote in favor of the group. You do have to make an effort to vote! Talk to the vape shop owners and try to get them involved. United Association of Vape Shop Owners is a great organisation dedicated to fighting regulation and protection of shops. This in turn helps vapors.

Or,,, be like I was as a cigarette smoker and do nothing. Watch the sin taxes get applied to vaping then watch the nickel and dime taxes become dollars. I guess if the money was going to health care, how could the tax be bad? Well, the cigarette tax never went to health care, whatever part of the government was strongest got the money. Did the money do good? Maybe, to someone but not to smokers!

E-cigs banned in some countries, more bans are being called for yet cigarette's are continued to be sold, killing people every single day, hell, it's killing people that don't smoke, one of the worse drugs known to man... ban them, see if I care, ill make my own, ill make my own liquid, they wont stop me lol. Seriously..leave us Vapers alone, Time for a vape !!!

Thinking about it, I might bulk buy for the future :)

No vapor bill in my state. I get your point, but you are 1 out of 10 voters. Most do not smoke. As long as politicians derive money from big companies such as big tobacco nothing will change. Yes you should be able to voice your view to those who run for office in your area. It's great you are involved, but when it comes down to election time it's all about the same things, family values, foreign policy, and cutting taxes and adding jobs. It's all about the money and if congress doesn't get from taxes on cigarettes they will get it from someplace.

They ban Ecigs.... I just DIY the juice and convert my kids humidifier to a vaporizer. They tax it so that it costs as much or more than smoking???? I go back to smoking.

I vape for pleasure, and to save money. Really don't care about the politics, mainly because parts of BOTH side are correct. It is healthier than smoking and it IS being marketed to KIDS. Get both sides to agree with that, you'll have a hope of saving Vaping AS/IS.

Can you explain how it is being marketed towards kids? I'm kinda at a loss on this since the only marketing I see is for cigalikes from the tobacco companies. I don't see any TV commercials for Space Jam or Suicide Bunny during the Saturday morning cartoons or on the Cartoon Network or the Disney Channel. I don't get how vaping is being marketed towards kids.

And that's what they want you to do...go back to smoking. Yes you may not care about the politics now but when they find something that you are passionate about then maybe you will. Look I'm not trying to grief anyone Im just trying bring some light to this situation because it will not stop here. They WILL need more money and they WILL get it from somewhere and if won't stop at Vape...maybe the internet...
