How do you thread a 2.5mm silica wick thru a coil wrapped on a 2/56 machine screw with 5 wraps (low ohm)

I've been making my coils on a 2/56 machine screw (makes a perfect coil) 6 wraps give me 2.4 - 2.5 ohms and 5 wraps give me about 1.8 ohms. Up until now, I've been successfully wicking by pulling one doubled over piece of 1mm silica wicks thru the coils. Here's my problem and question if anybody can help: just purchased a quantity of 2.5mm silica rope wick and I'm stumped about how to get a single 2.5mm silica wick thru those coils! Does anybody have any suggestions? I prefer not to make my coils larger diameter if I can avoid it. I really like the wrap diameter on the 2/56 machine screw.

One must wonder why it is when someone ask for help with a specific issue why it is that so many will offer alternatives of preference over assistance. Certainly there are times this is logical, however it seems to be routine and for some almost canned.
Protank leaking - get a Smoktech Aero
Throat scratchy - You need 100%VG
Just Get a Provari

Teflon Tape trick was a nice idea and one I had not considered. Excellent suggestion!
I place a drop of e-liquid on the tip of the wick and twist thread it through in the opposing direction to prevent binding. You can even thread silica through a Mesh wick this way.

I use the K.I.S.S. method as much as possible.. Since you can use teflon tape with drinking water hookups, and many times I can't keep the twist just right when I wet the end of the wick and Shove it in, and the tape is so pliable...

besides.. someone else told me about it months ago..

I think its about work-arounds. Yes its frustrating not to get the answer you are looking for, but to me work-arounds or alternatives to get me there are also appreciated.
