Well, I created a previous thread "eGo vs Riva 510 - Settle the Score!" and decided to go with the Riva mainly because of the deal that Liberty Flights was having.

Now, I'm just waiting for my brand spankin' new Riva to arrive! In the meantime, I was wondering what people like to use the most when vaping their Riva 510? What kind of combos? What give you the best pull with the most amount of vapor? Do you cartomize your Riva? Do you use a drip tip with your Riva? I love learning and I'm ready to soak in all your tips and tricks with this Riva! :laugh:

Well, the kit I bought comes with:

* 2 x 750mAh Battery
* 1 x 510 Atomizer - 2.2 ohm resistance
* 1 x 510 Low Resistance Atomizer - 1.7 ohm resistance
* 1 x USB Fast Charger
* 1 x USB Mains Plug (US)
* 10 x Blank Carts - e-liquid will be required to fill the cartridges, sold separately
* 1 x Atomizer Cone

... so I will definitely be trying out the LR atty.

@hairball: If I use those mega carts or mega atty's, that means the cone will no longer fit. Is that correct?

Ok, for great vapor production and good flavor, I recommend using this method: take out the 5 cartridges that came with your kit and pull the filler out. Put the filler on a paper towel and lightly push the filler into the paper towel, hence soaking up all of the liquid.

After all the liquid is soaked up, I cut the filler in half with a scissors. I then put 10 drops of liquid into the cartridge, and then put the filler that I cut in half into the cartridge (flush with the opening of the cartridge). I then put a total of 3 more drops on top of the filler to get it soaked. The filler will then stay soaked throughout the vaping. You will know when you are nearly out of liquid when there is no more vapor. Rinse and repeat!

P.S. No leakage or mouth full of liquid either :)

How many vapes do you normally get out of this method?

Not trying to hijack this thread but I received my Riva today from LF which is why I was interested in this thread. Mine also came with the regular and LR Atty. Now how does one tell which is the LR atty? Also Mine is marked as a HELLO-Riva. Is this normal. I thought HELLO was a different brand. I am still new so still learning. Great suggestions so far on how to use the Riva.

I have counted 4 second drags from the PV for about 70 drags. Now when I smoked real cigarettes, I took roughly 14 drags. Since I started vaping, I noticed that I do not take my regular 14 drags.. I take around 3 or 4 per session. If I did take 14 drags for 4 second inhale (70 total drags minus 14), then it would average out to 5 cigarettes. however, since I do not take the full amount of puffs it feels like I have more than 5 cigarettes in my setup.

I hope that makes sense. I'm craving some nicotine right now, lol.

Edit: Depending on the intensity of each drag will account for more or less liquid used.

I'm curious regarding BigJohns question. I too bought my Riva kit from LF and I'm assuming when mine arrive, I will also receive "HELLO-Riva". Is this normal?

I love it......went from 2pm yesterday till 11pm pretty much chain vaping and never had to swap the batteries. Hope that continues. My 510 mega batteries went from 6 hours down to 1 hour between charging in about 2 weeks. Hope the 'Riva does not do that. But Yeah It is great so far and the Wyatt Earp and RY4 taste so much better than with the 510.

Still wondering about the HELLO-Riva name........Anyone have any info on this?

I have had my Rivas for about 3 months and have not noticed any deterioration in battery performance, so I think you are good there.

Hmmm, is that particular Riva a rebranded Hello16? A rebranded, rebranded Joye Ego in other words?
