Not trying to hijack this thread but I received my Riva today from LF which is why I was interested in this thread. Mine also came with the regular and LR Atty. Now how does one tell which is the LR atty? Also Mine is marked as a HELLO-Riva. Is this normal. I thought HELLO was a different brand. I am still new so still learning. Great suggestions so far on how to use the Riva.

Hello group manufactures the Riva. LR 510 should be printed on the side of the atty. If not its a reg atty. my last kit came with the LR in the cartridge box so I wound up with 3 attys instead of 2

Wish I had seen this before I gave someone the box with the LR510! I purchased a Riva elsewhere before LF had restocked. I got the kit without the fancy box and paid a bit more. Boxed up the unpackaged one in fancy box for a friend and just gave it to him yesterday. I use drip tips exclusively so had no interest in empty carts! It was already in the box and I did not even bother to check.

Yes, it seems that every shipment the vendors get from China is packed a little differently. I have 2 riva kits from 2 shipments. Both orders were supposed to be packed the same, but my first one came with hi-nic cartridges and 2 attys and my last came with blank carts and 3 attys. Also, the first manual said eGo and the second said Hello Riva, though they are both Hello Rivas. Go figure.

I say when your running 3.7v mods like you have. Go for an LR 510 atty, and drip tip when your just realxing and can drip. (GREAT VAPOR PRODUCTION) and use a carto when your driving or whatnot and cant fuss with dripping.

Check out liquidxpress.com for LR attys, and drip tips. they are GREAT United States suppliers, and really nice guys.

Check out their FRUIT STRIPE e-liquid too. its OMFG AMAZING!

hope this helps.

Got my Riva yesterday and I'm very very pleased with the performance. Any other vape styles? I'm gonna try a drip tip. I hear Delrin makes good ones.
Glad you like it! I think the Riva is awesome!

I use a drip tip sometimes myself, but mainly carts. "Delrin" is a type of durable, heat resistant plastic. Many vendors sell delrin tips in a variety of shapes and sizes. The benefit is it won't heat up like a metal tip can and it has a slightly softer feel to it. I would suggest just adding a tip to your next hardware or juice order from whatever vendor you use, as one hollow tube is about the same as another! Keep the juice handy when you drip though, cause you need to add a couple of drops after every few drags.

I think one of my batteries came DOA. I charged it 8 hours, vaped for 20 or at least tried, and then charged another 1 hour. It hits like a granny. The other battery did pretty good last night but now needs to charge so no Riva for me today. Does anyone know if there is anything to do for that battery or just try to get an exchange and forget it?

If you fully screwed the battery in and the button flashed and the charger changed to red, then it should have charged. If not I would replace it.

On another note, the instruction to charge 8 hours, use for 20 minutes and recharge is completely unnecessary with Li-ion batteries. This was leftover from NiMh and Nicad, which required a priming, or conditioning, period to fully activate. Li-ion requires no such "conditioning". A fully charged Nicad or Nimh will continue to receive a trickle of voltage from a charger as long as it is hooked up, but once a L-ion batt is charged, all voltage transfer stops, so leaving it on past full charge has no effect. I have 4 Riva batteries that I began using as soon as they were fully charged and they work flawlessly all day. Unfortunately, the manufacturers haven't bothered to change the manuals to match the needs of L-ion. Sorry about your batt, but at least you can start vaping sooner when the new one comes.

I thought so. what a waste of time. I didn't think I had to charge them but if I had a DOA battery I wanted to make sure I had followed their instructions. lol It charged and went from red to green, plus I made sure it was screwed on right ,bah

Let the vendor know ASAP. Most will send you a replacement before they get the bad one back. Hope it works out for you.

The batts come with a partial charge, so you should charge it before use. You just don't need to leave it on all day.
