I find that im suckin on this thing all day, chain vapin. Maybe cause im just 3 weeks into quitting newports, but i take looooong drags and try to exhale a huge cloud. Chasing the real cig censation.

Long (3-6 second) pulls, inhale, don't hold it in lungs and slowly through nose/mouth with a couple rings for fun. I vape "constantly" I suppose, but it's not like smoking analogues. I will take a few pulls, put it down for 5 minutes, and take a few more. Sure, sometimes I'll sit and power-puff for 10-20 minutes straight on occasion, but not nearly as much as when I first started.

My first.....4 weeks-ish I was definitely chaining, cooking 4-6mL a day easily, making myself woozy to the point of needing to lie down a few minutes. Once it passed I'd get up and start again. Working from home has advantages. I'm not sure when it happened, but around 7 weeks in I noticed I was forgetting to vape, sometimes for an hour+ stretch. I've since "naturally" reduced to 2-3mL/day. It's odd because I don't feel like I'm vaping less, but the numbers don't lie.

You may want to look into WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid) juices, there's more to tobacco than just nicotine, and some people find that WTA is the difference. I've not had experience with it so can't personally vouch for it, just know what I've read here and from meetups.

Another thing to keep in mind: Ecig nicotine delivery is different than cigarettes, the uptake is generally through the mucous membranes in mouth/sinuses. These are less efficient than lungs and it's slower to absorb, upwards of 20 minutes. Ecigs also lack those fancy chemicals they add to damage/shred the lungs to increase nicotine uptake. That may just be some scare thing I was told, but they definitely alter the tobacco to increase its efficiency.

Recidivus made some good points above. Allegedly nicotine is less readily absorbed through vapor, and less via the lungs and more through the mucus membranes of the mouth and throat. Therefore, I inhale slow long drags like sucking on a milkshake, holding it in my mouth and throat, before inhaling into my lungs (still need that analog sensation and behavior).

When exhaling, it is through the mouth AND NOSE. Our sense of taste is closely tied to our sense of smell. To appreciate a juice's flavor more fully, one must consider this fact. That is why food and drink has less flavor or taste when we have a head cold.

I try to remember to drink fluids while I vape. The warmth of the vapor tends to dehydrate our mucus membranes.

Since you asked:
Have been vaping for 32 days like a chimney. Still looking for a juice(s) that will get me through the day. No analogs along the way and will never go back to them, however this change to vaping is a process for my body. I expect to slow my vaping down once I my brain gets the idea that I don't need to have an analog every hour. :)

tunafish, I did this to get off analogues too. I've been vaping just over 24hrs now and so far so good. I vape the same as I would have smoked, whenever I feel the urge for a smoke. I take 3-6 second pulls, and do inhale the majority of the vape since the throat hit (in my humble opinion anyway) is what most closely resembles an analogue. I was roughly a pack a day smoker, and a 2ml carto lasted me all day, and still has some left in it. Nice thing is, I can vape at work too!

When I first started, I couldn't get enough. I vaped constantly and even woke up a few times in the morning and found my ecig still in my hand. Clutching on like a security blanket.

I am like recidivus it that my daily juice intake is less by more than half then when I started. Not sure how this happens. I still vape whenever I can all day taking long slow pulls on my PV and yet, at the end of the day, I have vaped only 1 - 2 ml.

I have also gone 4-5 hours without vaping and never really had the "nic fits" associated with the stinkys. I have often thought about quitting all together and really think I could, but e cigs have become a hobby, it seems and I just enjoy it too much. PLUS, I have over 300 ml of assorted juice and a small to moderate arsenal of parts and accessories. Guess I'll just vape away for a while.

Have fun! :vapor:

Been vaping for 5 days, off the analogues from day one. I vape about as much as I smoked, maybe 10 times a day, about 8 mins a vape. I have an auto-battery, so I take a puff to get it going, then draw on it for about 3-4 secs, inhale. I also like to have some kind of cold drink, usually juice, as I vape, same as did with cigs.
