How does it feel to smoke a cigarette after you've vaped a long time?

I've been smoke free for over 3 weeks now and I love it. I have no intention on smoking another cigarette whatsoever. No desire either.

But I'm just curious if vaping acts differently on our lungs compared to cigarettes. Remember our first cigarette ever? It feels so harsh when we smoked it, and after we got addicted, our lungs got "used to it".

Does vaping a long time return our lung to that "smoke free" condition or do we still have smoker's lungs?

thanks

I've been vaping for 20 months now. Since month 2, I've felt like a 100% non-smoker. Even the smell of a lit cigarette turned me off. 60 days earlier, a lit cig would've smelled like fresh baked bread to me; delicious.
The taste is like drinking out of an old ashtray at the bowling alley, to me. I cant figure out what the heck I was thinking back at age 18.

To answer your question: Don't really know. We are so sorely lacking in research to back up what we think/feel/hope is true. Probably the only people who have any real dirt on this are the folks with some type of chronic issue - asthma, COPD, allergies etc. - who get spirometry tests or PFT's done on a regular basis. Any of you folks out there? I'm due for a spirometry test (Allergist does one every year) to compare to the one that was done about two months after I completely quit smoking.

I went 2 weeks without one.
Then one night I really needed one so I light it up, took 3 hits off it and I could really feel it in my lungs.
Not as bad as going 4 months and stating back up but still it hurt and burn enough to feel it.
The taste was really bad too :p
I bet it does not take that long for your lungs to heal up and clean out.

While at work one day 6weeks into vaping i ran out of ejuice so i bummed one cig and it was so nasty, i felt like i was chewing on an ashtray, its just like the number one question I get asked at work "do they have this brand that brand cig flavor", and my reply is after you quit you dont want a analog flavor because analogs taste like S***

I was diagnosed with very early COPD, i said to the dr, whats copd? and he said its basically like emphysema, and i'm like, you mean, lugging a tank around everywhere you go? or a hole in the throat? kinda sht?, and he said, 'you need to quit smoking now', so you never have to find out about those'...so i said; 'If i quit today, will I be cured?, and he said 'No', but it will never get worse. and since i was at the very very beginning stages, i honestly think i'm cured...but maaaa'n that scared the beeegeeezus outta me, and so on my birthday april 6 , on 2011, i bought my first pv.

Before starting ecigs , when i breathed out really hard, it sounded horrific, i sounded pretty much like one of the 'simpsons sisters'...just mucus and crackling and it was really bad, 3 weeks later completely off cigarettes , and not a single peeep when i breathed out as hard as i could, not a single sound other than my breath. I couldnt believe it.

So now a year and a half later, i can jump out of bed on a dime', i can walk up a steep hill and nothin'.....and no more smokers headaches....
i'm totally healthy now. feels awesome.

My only complaint', is i wish to hell i bought a provari right off the kick, instead of spending a couple grand trying out everything BUT.
I love my provari v3 w 18650 extension. just freakin love it. its nice to know , there is nothing higher up, i'm at the top. this is the rolls royce of mods. i'd die if i lost this thing.

Tastes like a pirate's booty.... not a hot Johnny Depp pirate either, a nasty unbathed, hairy buttocked pirate with scurvy. No idea how the lungs felt because I wasn't paying attention to anything other than my taste buds committing suicide to escape the flavor. Instant headache, coughing, and nausea, following by puking. I have no idea how I got past the first 2 puffs 22 years ago.

I don't know nor do I care to find out. I was hooked on those things for years and I have no desire to ever put another one to my lips. I do not look down on anyone that still smokes or smokes and vapes, but I do not ever want to go back there.

I have had moments that I wondered what it would be like to smoke again but they quickly pass. Once I realize what I was inhaling I am immediately turned off. And the smell is now awful to me. When I was smoking cigs I would want one as soon as I smelled someone else smoking but now that smell does not provoke the same desires.

I toyed with the idea of smoking a cig just to see if I still wanted one or if they still held that same allure to me but I quickly dismiss those thoughts by thinking of my 6 year old son growing up without a father.

shoot I hope that I never have to find out, I have no desire to smoke a cigarette ever again, but I just realized that one of my attys might be taking a crap on me, and I only have 2! Plus i used my e-cig budget up for these 2 weeks on juice :( But then again my boyfriend uses carts, problem is I can taste them burning.... maybe my taste is getting super sensative idk might be in my head lol

Three or four weeks after starting vaping on some little stick batteries, I had allowed all of them to drain out. With no charged batteries, that means no vaping. I immediately went into a nicotine-fix panic mode and went out and bought a pack of my old favorite Marlboro Menthols down the street while my batteries were recharging.

Lit one up.

OMG! Nasty, stinky, make me want to puke awful.

I had to put it out after a few drags. I haven't touched a cigarette since.

Likely never will again.

Since then I can immediately tell which people smoke from their smokey clothes. And to think that I smelled that bad at one time.

I guess I am the exception. I have been exclusively vaping now for over 2 months, but had a cigarette on Monday night. I liked it. I smoked the whole thing with no regrets. And if the next time I have a few beers and want one, I will do it again. Will I make a habit of it? No, I don't want to smoke because of the cough I got rid of, because of the smell I know I carry around and because I like to taste my food now.

But I am not going to lie and say "oh it was terrible" because it just wasn't.

Yeah, i concur for the most part.
I still have one here and there, probably about 1 or 2 a week. Pretty much everytime i've been overly stressed it seems.
And no fluffy desserty juice is gonna cut it, not even a tobacco juice. I go to my neighbors and borrow one . I won't buy a pack. ever.

but yah, i'd like to even cut down on 2 a week. maybe get down to 1 smoke a week. lol

Has anyone else noticed that it's far easier to go a couple of days without vaping than it is to go without a cigarette or is it just me?

I ran out of juice a while back while waiting for a supplier to get their act together, it wasn't hellish, just slightly uncomfortable. This makes me wonder what other .... they are putting in cigarettes besides the nicotine that's addictive.
