Depends on how much smokes are and how deeply you get into the vaping scene.

I've spent probably close to $1,000 in the last 2 months, but that includes a high end VV mod, tons of juice, and a bunch of DIY supplies most recently. I have enough CE2s and other cartos that I don't think I'll even need to spend much if anything on vaping supplies for months to come.

However, if you want to be frugal but aren't into the DIY thing, and depending on how much you end up vaping on average, you could bring your total costs, shipping included, down around $30 a month or less, factoring in the cost of juice and replacement cartomizers (again, being frugal and cleaning them when possible to extend their life). If you go the DIY route, you could bring your costs down under $10 a month or even less. (Again, factoring in the cost of replacement cartos/tanks/whatever).

In fact, if you want to spend the money and don't mind some manual work and making your own juices, you could virtually eiminate the cost of cartos altogether by getting something like an iAtty and buying a bunch of nichrome wire and wicks and never have to buy another carto again. Coupled with making your own juice you could bring your cost per month down to just a few bucks.

That is ridiculous, but do you have any experience with the ones with the disposeable filters? I don't much feel like investing much online right now.

I assume you mean cartomizers. They can be cleaned and reused, so you don't need to chuck them once they're done. In fact, you can just refill right away without cleaning. You only need to clean when the draw starts getting tight and/or the juice starts tasting off even after a fresh fill. I typically get up to a week out of a cartomizer before it needs to be cleaned, and I can typically get 4 or 5 cleanings out of a carto before it just won't clean up well enough to be usable. So concievably I could make a 5 pack of cartos last several months.

You might not like that cheapy gas station one! I even go with the most cost effective type model (kr808) and for $20 bucks on gotvapes you can get that model and buy the prefilled cartomizers from a bunch of places on-line and be much happier!

I've used the cheapo gas station ones, and i didn't mind them, i'm not big into smoking so it's not like I need anything special.

When you consider that the money spent on smoking cigarettes goes up in smoke, eCigs are millions times cheaper.

60.00 =My first eGo kit which lasted 6 months. Had I of been buying the cartons of cigs that I used to, I would have spent $1800.00 ... all up in smoke.

True, there are attys and juices... but there are also cigarette lighters, cases, ashtrays, febreeze, flints, lighter fluid,

But, not smoking and not vaping? Priceless

Ignoring the fact that I am a shopaholic and buy way too many juices, flavorings, spares, etc

I used to spend about $54 per week on cigarettes. Now that I have decent equipment I spend about $15 per week on juice and about $3 per week on blank cartomizers (I can use a pair of cartomizers for 2 weeks and each costs about $3).

LOL im the same way especially lately. Buying mods, tanks, attys and like 15 cartos at a time with diff resistances and such i spend more than i should but it is so worth it!

I never buy just one bottle of juice from any vendor either.

How much you were smoking before is very important when you are comparing prices. I was smoking over 3 packs a day before I bought en eGo. Over the past month and a half, I've cut my cigarettes down to around 10 a day. I've spent about $300 on my kit, extra juices, extra cartomizers and atomizers, etc. I have a lot of extra stuff, so I could probably go for a month or two right now without having to buy juice or any equipment.

For me, that $300 is easy to justify. I'd have spent more than that on cigs. But for someone who smokes one or two packs a week, it's not as easy to justify.

The more you smoke regular cigs now the faster you will break even with your e-cig purchases. But even if you're a light smoker, you will eventually come out ahead. I was supporting four heavy smokers in my house. That tallied up to $850 a month. One has quit completely and the other three (myself included) vape full-time. I bought a ton of different kits and juices and whatever and spent a ton of money doing it. I don't regret it for a minute though b/c at the rate of $850 a month previsouly on regular cigs, I've already broken even and am saving money.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned either is that if you drip, you don't have to burn money on cartridges. To me the taste and throat hit is much more consistent and it is very cheap once the equipment is all purchased.

Even if you are a light smoker, you'll make your money back. It'll just take longer. This is worth it!

You could do better than the gas station models just by going on-line and looking at disposables there. MadVapes is great and you can't beat their sellection.

510 DISPOSABLE E-CIG KIT with Blue LED

These last a little longer than most disposables they use a 510 atty which is one of the better ones. Just add a bottle or two of juice and it's a great way to get into vaping.

Later if you find that it's your thing then worry about the next step. You will save money even with the disposable and if you put that money aside then spend it on something better when it finally dies.

One thing about vaping is that most people cut down over time. One thing about continuing to smoke cigs is that consumption goes up over time. Many people start out like you, just one here and there. Then life happens, stess adds up and cigs start coming in faster and faster. Some people can go their whole life without getting to a pack a day but most people do eventually get their and that's when it gets really expensive not just in out of pocket money but in regards to your health.

I have been vaping for 2 years and I have saved at least a couple thousand. But it's nothing compared to how much my health has improved.

I'm afraid to tally the costs of vaping. I would have saved thousands by now had I not chased mods and flavors. I probably spend more on vaping than cigs by choice. I could have spent $45 on a KGO kit, got a few atomizers and cartomizers and vaped one tobacco flavor and saved a ton. I was so excited to be smoke-free I wanted to try everything. It was worth it 10x over.

I started running again and had to buy running shoes of course. I've lost 9 lbs and needed some cute new outfits :) We go out more now that I have more energy and don't have to worry if I can smoke when I get there... life is better without cigarettes and with vaping. I'll settle down on the spending soon. I'm still celebrating being free from cigarettes.

So far I've spent about $600 over the last three months. Now that I've got a foundation, I can get by spending about $250/year. Compared with about $2500/year on analogs (pack and a half a day, and they ain't getting cheaper), I'd say that's good.

For $250/year, I can get 12 atomizers (I use about 1 a month, roughly), at $10 each. Spend some on liquid; 250 mL of 100 mg juice (on sale for about $45 usually), a gallon of PG ($25), a quart of VG ($12?), and flavorings. That leaves a bit leftover for a couple of fresh AW batteries, and I'm all set.

Fortunately, I'm not so tightly budgeted that I have to stick to that. I keep eGo backups, and who knows when that next mega-mod might come out?

Now that I'm set up, I figure I'll probably spend around $500/year... Well under what I was spending.

Oh, and did anyone factor in the high medical bills that will inevitably bite us if we don't switch?
