So I went to a new vape store yesterday, and I finally gave in to the mech mod community. Seems like it's all over the place now, and many shops I visit in Portland, OR are pushing Mechanicals, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I bought a package deal, with a Stingray Fully Mech Mod (clone), and a Tobh Atty clone. Running a Sony 18650 battery. It came with both the drip atty, and a Kayfun Lite tank. I don't see myself using the tank anymore (til now I was fully VV/VW vaper on a tank), as the flavor and hit from the drip is just unbelievable...not to mention the fluffy clouds.

So I just went on amazon, and bought new wire based on their recommendations. Bought 28 gauge Kanthal wire. (it said something like 5ohm resistance per foot, or something like that, is that right?), and a multimeter, so I have everything I need to rebuild when the time comes....

I have a couple questions.

1. How does one aim for a particular ohm? Right now, my drip is set to.3 ohms, and that's with a dual coil, with 8 wraps, as was set up by the shop. Is the resistance based on the length of wire used? More wire/coils = higher resistance?

2. I can't remember right now but I'm sure I will later.

1. Yes. The ohms per foot can be divided by 12 so you can get an idea of how many inches you want your coil to be and add what you need for terminal connections. Make sure to check your builds with a multimeter to verify your resistance.

2. No. When you remember the question the answer will most likely be no. Sorry, but life is brutal sometimes.
