I wanted to know from people who started as new to E cig ,how much amount which needed you to get rid of smoking. I've not totally out from cig..but want balance a little of both and then after some time onto e-cigs fully. What you guys think about that..
please Share your methods and how affective has it been?

Thanks guys!!

I transitioned right away to vaping, the moment my first kit arrived 3 years ago. I was using 8mg and for a 2-3 pack a day smoker it was a bit light on the nicotine. I was advised to bump up my nicotine, so i settled into a routine of 24mg as soon as I awoke. After breakfast I would drop to 16-18mg's, and that kept me satisfied for the better part of 2 years. As I grew into rba/rda I was able to lower my nicotine level to 12mg as my coils started getting better and pushing harder.

My main goal was to replace cigarette's with vaping and that's exactly what it did for me.

I was forced to quit once my doctor diagnosed me with COPD. I couldn't breath and couching sent me into a serious asthma attack one day and I had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance. I have gone back to analog cigs once when my batteries were not charged for my mod and I was having a serious attack of "I NEED to smoke!" But once the pack was gone I went back to vaping and upgraded my mods and I have been happy for the past few weeks.

I think that once you start vaping on a regular basis, you will have no need for analog cigs. They taste really gross after you get used to vaping all of the wonderful tasting e liquids that are available. I started out on 24 nic strength and learned it was too much. I vape a between a 6 an 12 most of the time depending on what e liquid flavor it is. If it is something I really like I use a lower strength because I know I am going to vape a lot of it! I was a pack a day smoker for years so I started with 24mg thinking I wasn't going to be able to quit analog cigs but it turns out that I like vaping more than smoking!

Yeah I started off at 24mg and actually worked my way up to 36mg…this was not a smart decision because it was actually more nicotine than my body was used to… right now I switch between different levels of juices(12, 18, and 24) because I am trying to desensitize myself to dropping nicotine levels. I have found that 18 is typically a good average level for people and myself in particular.

I was rather lucky, I guess. After 40+ years of heavy smoking, lozenges, gum...well, I was ready to quit. My first starter kit arrived (cig-sized with cartos) and I quit within 3 days. That was 17 months ago. I started at 24mg but after 3 months that was too much, so I gradually tapered down to 7mg today. My biggest hurdle was finding the right flavors, which was a 2-3 month struggle.

Started with disposables with no intention to quit smoking. Just thought I could supplement a few cigarettes each day with a few drags on the disposable to cut down. Worked so well I ended up not smoking after about 3-4 weeks; fast forward to today, last cigarette was over two years ago. I went from disposables, to greensmokes, to ego, to provari, now mechs and rbas. I think I started at 24mg, now at 6mg. I still remember the day I tried vapong for the first time...one of the best decisions of my life.

I was a "social" smoker (pack a week) who had increased my smoking when I started dating my now-wife, who was a 2-pack a day smoker. I smoked somewhere between half a pack to a pack a day. I quit immediately and haven't had one since the first day I started vaping.

Like I said, my wife was a 2-pack a day smoker and had been that way for about 20 years. My wife smoked 3 packs in two weeks during her transition, and has not had a cigarette since. She's had cravings and has come very close a few times, but has resisted. It was crucial for her to find e-liquids she liked, and to not run out of them. We've also ordered her some 24mg (we're both using 18mg at the moment) to help during the high crave times.

I just quit on 12/20. Got my itaste vv v3 in the mail and haven't touched an analog since. I quite enjoy vaping. So many flavors. I smoked Marlboro Smooths for the past 7 years or so and that was really the only kind I could stand. I love vaping. Gonna go all out when taxes come in. Extra everything and plenty of juices.

I had smoked analogs for 25+ years, Last March 2013 I had stopped into a smoke shop selling ego kits, and also let customers try it out. So I thought I would buy a set and different kinds of juice. It was different and tasted nothing like analogs, but was satisfying. The first day I threw out any analogs I had around, smashed all my ashtrays and cleaned the house up in an attempt to get all tobacco smell out. vaping 18-24mg liquid from the first day since and have never looked back. sure they weren't like analogs. but I knew I had to quit them.

Prior to vaping, I had a very hard time breathing, I have been hacking and coughing in the mornings for the last 10 years, it was time to take my life back. I have no doubt that vaping saved my life, or at least will prolong it. I will never go back to analogs. I have since bought many mechanical and variable voltage devices and rebuildable atomizers. yes I'm spending a lot of money on them, as my wife tells me, but not nearly like I was on analogs. And I have more to show for my money.

I have also converted many family and friends to vaping and more than 90% has quit. some are just stubborn. For most it only took one sample liquid and ego kit to get them started. $20, Well worth it to save a life. My mother for example was a life long smoker 40+ years that just recently could not mow her grass on her own or walk to the mailbox without being winded. now she has made a 100% turnaround and can do thing's I have not seen in more than 20 years. She thanks me everyday for giving her life back. which I don't take credit, the credit is hers, and I'm proud of her.

after almost 3 weeks of vaping i can only recommend to get you enough from "everything" - in case you have to quit smoking...
enough liquid and enough "battery" to bring you through the day...

i feel the nicotine withdrawal much at the moment, and cant vape most of the day, as the battery life is just a few hours.. im compensating by sucking on a textmarker... while the vv3 is charging...

I started vaping in july of last year. Nothing I've tried ever helped. I'd quit numerous times and always went back to analogs. Now I've got the girlfriend vaping, friends vaping, and I've been analog free for two months.

I blame mech mods and RBA's for finally getting me analog free. Oh, and Indigo lol.

Up until that point (evic, evods, protanks) I was still having the occasional cig. I got my first rba and never looked back.

Started on cigalikes and nicotine gum, these didn't "get it." Researching cigalikes on the internet, found ECF and learned that there were other kinds of devices (I had no idea!!) Hesitantly bought a blister-pack 650 eGo at a convenience store & a bottle of juice. Went home and tried it - wow - I knew I'd hit pay dirt. Finished the 1/2 pack of cigs I still had over the next few days and then forgot all about smoking cigarettes - finally quit that 47-year habit!!! It's been 4 months now, have only had cravings 3 or 4 times that weren't even that bad. Could have stayed on eGos and clearos, but curiosity got me trying out different devices. Am now retiring all my little eGos and am using cartotanks and glassomizers now with twists, spinners, itaste 3's, a mech, and ProVaris. Even have a little epipe!! I'm saving my first little eGo as a souvenir! :2cool:

Best wishes to you!!

4 days smoke free here. :D What has helped me was first I got rid of all the ashtrays in the house and in my car, started a small diary and am writting all the feeling I am going through and reasons why I am quitting. I have replaced vaping with my normal cig and so far so good. My advice to you is find a good vape flavor you really love and trust me you will not miss the cigs at all.

I started vaping and stopped smoking immediately. I smoked 15 Marlboro Red's per day, and I have settled on 18mg for most of the day but am going to try 24mg for the evenings and first thing in the morning.

I have only craved an analogue twice in my three weeks of vaping. After smoking for 40 years and trying all manner of nicotine replacements, vaping has been the answer for me. No more stinky clothes and feeling like I'm trying to breathe through a wet cloth!
