Hey guys I'm taking a hard-earned vacation to the phillipines soon to vape it up with my pinoy friends, and quit being so pasty. I'm obviously bringing double the money of what my plane-ticket costs just to buy things y'all can't have :pervy:. So one thing that's always been on my mind are side firing button mechanical mods. I've never tried one, and am curious.

-And I've seen a hurricane of hype all over the internet about the rare Golden Greek (GG) mods, as well as some tank atomizers. I wasn't able to find much information about them, much less where to even begin to look for a purchase. I can tell from the pictures that they are high-quality, but why are they SUPER-DUPER sought after? I'd certainly love to have one, and probably am going to have 2 soon :p, but I was seeing if there's a key factor over the hype, because I don't see anything that absolutely blows my mind about them. However I will say this, this handcarved (which is epic in it's own right) GG is the nicest looking side-firing mod I've ever seen. But it better be if your paying for black diamonds on it lol. And I've never really cared for the big, stickey outey button like that, I almost bough a poldiac bacause it looks amazing too. I don't even want to imagine how much this costs, because the other GG's I've seen go for 250-300+!

Yeah you'd be crazy to call this anything but beautiful, but the production GG's are crazy expensive, probably because they're crazy rare. That rarity is probably why they're so popular, because it's exclusive I get that, that's really cool. I'm just wondering what the specifications are because I can't find any, hopefully you can help me out ECF, if any of you know, or even own one. If they have excellent volt drop, will fit all of my devices, and has a superb button (which it should for the price, on top of silver contacts too, I mean come on you can buy a silver ring for 300 :p's then I'm pretty much sold. Honestly the only cool part about the GGs (especially the stainless "just GG") is the super-rare nature of them, and that they are the great looking for side-button, they don't necessarily looks absolutely stellar, but they look great, which is hard to find for side buttons. One thing that irked me a little is while watching a youtube review on the telescopic one, the button was wobbly looking, and slightly wiggled when jarred, and I'm OCD about my buttons, that's basically what your paying for, that and as I said it comes with brass connections instead of copper, or even better silver. Here's that review:

~So long story short, I'm just wondering what's epic about the GG's? That sounds like I'm douche-bagging them, but it couldn't be far from it, they are very well manufactured (I can tell that just from the pictures lol), and highly rare which makes them that much cooler :2cool:. I'm just doing my research now so I pretty much have an idea of what's going on when I buy my first and only side button mechanical. As it is, unless some fact about them doesn't jump up and blow my mind, I'll be getting a sniper:

They are more fairly priced, I think they actually look better manufactured (from pictures granted) and the button looks more intricate and ergonomic. The best part to my mechanical mind is IT'S GOT SILVER CONTACTS, it's more than half the price but they still give you the most conductive metal known to mankind. It's got a flawless finish, seam is invisible, a volt drop of .09, the shape looks better (for my tastes), and even comes with different slanted caps to make your toppers look good. But the main idea of this buy is the button for me, and this has a stock magnetic button, many reviews say it's the easiest, most solid button they've ever had, and that's what's making me bite my nails. I want to buy a GG because they are so famous, and proven to be excellent, but that review showed the button looking slightly loose, I just don't know.

-Help me out guys, which beautiful side-firer should I buy? I already know what bottom firers I'm buying! :D Vape on! :vapor:

***And does Golden Greek have a website? I can't find anything! I've hear rumors that they are with cloudsofvapor.com but I don't see anything lol.***

Just curious, what exactly does going to the Phillipines have to do with mods made in Greece? Info on GG's should be pretty easy to find as The GG has it's own forum here. The GG Not to mention it's own Wiki. http://ggwiki.et.com.mx/index.php/Main_Page

EDIT: GG has resellers, the one in the US used to be Clouds of Vapor, but that has recently changed to Fluid Vapor. All GG resellers are wordwide sellers and are listed on the GG wiki link I gave.

GG was the first to make many ecig inovations, that combined with the quality I think is the reason they have and hold a high value. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/51675-reminder-gg-comparing-other-mods-gg-sellers.html

Sounds like a sales pitch. Are you trying to get people to buy this product?

If I was traveling to another country I wouldn't take some expensive mod that could be confiscated by customs or lost or whatever.. I would buy a couple cheap clones. They work just as well as the real things. Buy stuff you wont mind losing.

Lol no I don't own a vaping business, nor do I make mechanical mods, well I have made my own silver/copper alloy tube but that's all.

Yeah I probably should've informed you guys that GG's are MUCH more available in the Phillipines, afterall they are internationally sold. You really think I'm that drunk? That I would confuse the Golden GREEK company? Thanks for the helpful input lol.

Yeah I probably should've pre-informed that I know the golden greek products are also available in the phillipines, and they are so much more prevalent (vaping is crazy down there if you didn't know), plus I didn't want to go to greece :).

Oh wow I didn't know GG was a forum supplier! Sorry I haven't been to the forum suppliers section ever, let alone seen it, I usually do all my research myself away from ECF, unless I can't find it.

I also had no idea he had invented ALL of those things! That's a great reason to support him by itself! :D I could've swore that alot of those things had existed before GG though, I wasn't necessarily vaping a long time ago, but I remember the Trog Screwdriver was pretty "advanced" XD and had alot of those inventions relatively long before. That's just amazing.

~BTW you should've said "everything inside each expertly crafted GG is user serviceable, removeable, and replaceable. Each GG is hand made in Greece using the latest techniques for shaping, coating, and threading fine metals.

That would've helped me alot more than rubbing it in that it's easy to find on ECF, and pointing out my "mistake" (Honestly greek is in the name of the manufacturer dude lol, who could make that mistake?), at least you re-directed me though, and thank you for that. I'm definitely saving some dough so I can nab one while I'm in the phillipines, then I can come back and rub it in here on the GG forum :p. Now I've really got my hopes set on the GG, as well as that purdy vanilla!

ECF use to be alot different, I feel now that every-time I even comment on something that has a big fan-base, I'm going to get bashed for it. Since when did vapers become so cold?

I don't know, I think you may be taking things to seriously, especially considering your second sentence was making fun of everyone who won't have the fortune of traveling to the land of GG plenty, the Phillipines.:D

Concerning the Screw driver, which I do think is pretty cool, I'm hard pressed to compare all the complex workings Imeo has designed and built to what is essentially a flashlight mod. Romisen RC A8 Torch Father of the Screwdriver.jpg

Anyways, my vote is to get a GG battery holder and GG atomizer of your choosing. Then you will be satisfied also, like many others. After all, that is Imeo's goal, just read his sig.:D

I actually think the black diamond PV you posted is just a bit too much, but I love simplicity.

Also, I can see how some vapers may be a little irked over the mention of the amount of money you can spend on PV's as well as the constant mention of rarity. I actually really dislike inflated prices over manufactured rarity and exclusiveness. I don't know if it's manufactured in this PV makers case, and I won't rush to judgement on them, but another reading your post can easily mistake this as a "Pay the high price for this mod because it's rare!!!" kind of post, and I can see why they may think you were a supplier. You're plugging it quite hard, and plugging the rarity quite hard as well.
