Just for the record, I'm a VV user but I like VW available as an option. The single addition that provari could offer that would immediately sell me would be a built-in pass through feature. I'd probably pass out if they added on board charging....And they can keep the current display but Me personally, I don't want to see the sides of the chip when viewed at an angle. Lastly I hope they improve the single button design...Having to press the button 16 times to turn the led on or off? or 13 times to check an attys Ohms? Seems excessive to me but I'm sure its not to the hardcore..
I thought the same thing. I looked inside the ProVari at the convention and said really? I can see everything in there. $180.00 and you guys are cheaping and can't even put some sort of backing in the battery tube to hide all that stuff.
Then it hit me.
These things were designed to work after being dunked. Until 2012, ProVape actually encouraged users to immerse (IMMERSE) the product in alcohol should it get dunked to dry it out. After 2012, they stopped suggesting that as it could cause some issues on newer devices.
The design of the product is intentional so that no liquid gets trapped and fogs stuff up or shorts out components. This thing is designed to take a bath....and recover.
If they used an OLED display, it would not survive,
If they added on board charging, it would most likely not survive.
I hate the fact that my USB ports are open on the MVP. I've seen other peoples MVP's hit an early grave because they set their unit down on a puddle on the table.
The point is, the number one design philosophy behind the ProVari is to keep it from being sent in. That's why they offer an additional year of warranty service, it's free money.
If they can add variable wattage and still maintain it's survivibility, then they will, if they can't they won't implement it.
I think if they more openly conveyed that idea, then more people would understand.
With a ProVari, it's not about what it can't do, but more about that it can do what it does and do it indefinitely.
I challenge anyone who can say that there is any regulated mod that is more survivable than a ProVari.
