I started with an njoy automatic (RN4081 model) and found this forum while trying to figure out why it wasn't working right.
I then moved on to a 510 manual model, and stayed with that for about 3 months.

Then I bought my first Chuck.
Then I bought my second and third Chucks.

After 4 months of trying every cartridge modification known to man, I settled on using none of them.
So I became a dedicated dripper, and I remain a dedicated dripper to this day.

And I am still using only genuine Joye 510 standard atomizers.

I spent 9 months messing around with different ways to clean my atomizers...
And then I found the Highping dry burn method, which ended that search.

It took me 19 months to find Dekang DK-TAB, which is the only flavor I can always count on.

Finding a flavor I can always count on opened the door for me to get a bottom-feeder.
So after 23 months I bought a Reo Mini that I can take with me when the Chuck will not be convenient enough.

After 28 months I bought my first 4.8v NiMH battery.
After a couple of weeks I bought 3 more and a second charger.
My 18650s are now gathering dust.

There have been no further changes in the 7 months that followed.
:)

One thing I learned very quickly is that I wished I had done just a little more research before I bought my first kit. My KR808D-1 basically lasted me 2 weeks (But since I paid 40 bux for the kit, a 5pk of empty cartos, and 15ml of fluid, 2 weeks is fine, since traditional smokes cost me around 42/wk). I'm now on a 650mah eGo-c. 1000mah would have been better I think, but the store in Orlando only had 650s in black, and I wasn't dealing with the automatic 808 batteries another day.

One of the biggest things I learned tho is that for me personally, I don't need tobacco flavor to enjoy vaping. I smoked Camel Menthol Lights for the latter half or so of my smoking time mixed in with Marlboro Smooths occasionally. Back in the day when Camel had all the exotic flavors in tins, I ate them up. (Hmmm, I still have the tins, I bet they would hold some PV accessories. So yeah, flavors are my thing now. My evening enjoyment is High Caliber Cherry 50/50 at 12mg. Since I am a constant vaper at home, I went with the lower nic so I can enjoy it more. When I goto work I can't vape except on breaks, so I have a 24mg juice (HC's Killa Vanilla) that works well. Already found myself using less juice during the working hours. So far I'm not minding the little plastic tanks on the ego-c. Tho I probably will invest in a good syringe set (Ohh, that could be stored in the metal tin) to make filling them easier.

And this is less than 3 weeks in from starting.

I really wish I had discovered this site sooner, I probably would have quit smoking sooner. First couple of days my coworkers gave me some good natured ribbing about it all because others in the past had tried (And based on what they said, it sounded like gas station or mall look alikes). Once I started talking about what I expected to save per month, they stopped joking, and several started listening. They're all in kind of a wait and see to see if I get past a month or so ... then I have a feeling I'm going to become their consultant to get started with a kit of some kind (Heh, maybe I should go into the juice business at work :) ) A professor of mine once said it takes 21 days to change a habit ... but for me, I had one traditional smoke after I got home from buying my kit, and that was it. So the 18 days and climbing banner is spot on for me.

Will I get an APV? At some point probably. The GLV-2 has really caught my eye. But now that I've upgraded to a better battery system, I'm not feeling as rushed to make that switch ... plus I wanna wait a couple weeks now to "recoup" the cost of the new eGo kit.

A bit of a ramble there, sorry ... but hey, it's general discussion after all. :)

For me it wasn't so much the gear (mods, etc) but finally finding the "right" supplier and flavors of juice. Everyone is different, but it's really unavoidable at first to blow quite a few bucks on different flavors and suppliers before you find the "aaaaah" :) I'm almost to the point that the unloved drawer o juices is almost empty now - I give them away to friends or try them again at different voltages with the provari. Some are better the second time around, some are still like "what was I thinking" :)

Started out with a halo 808 kit then went to a ego 900 then to a screwdriver that took a dump then to a lavatube and once my reo mini gets here ill be passing the lavatube along to my dad so he can finally try and quit. found a couple juices i can vape all day but still haven't found a oh my god i cant put this juice down kinda juice. I picked up vaping to stop chewing tobacco. my teeth are whiter my lips and gums are normal, and I'm completed OK blowing all of this money since I'm not giving my self cancer anymore.

3 Months 25 Days, well what ever the sig. says received Ego C
3 Months 20 Days received Ego 18650's
3 Months 10 Days received Altoids VV Box Mod
3 Months VMod XL
2 Months 25 Days ProVari
2 Months 23 Days ProVari Mini
3 Days Reo Grand

Really think of myself as new to this still approaching 4 months. I am now happy where I am with hardware and have now settled to 2 vendors for juice. Have plans to DIY and have some flavours enroute that will start that plan but still intend to use NLV and AVE. I love their juices and can't see me successfully replicating them so why bother.

As above started with the Ego C but had Resurrectors within a week and with the advent of the Altoids 3 ohm Boge's appeared with tanks that are still a mainstay. I guess the biggest realisation was when I managed to mess up my VMod and how much I relied on it. Went into panic mode and bought a Reo that had the advantage of being close by so only went 2 days bottom feeder less.

Still use tanks with the ProVari but use attys mainly with the bottom feeder. They have longevity and flavour I can't get a carto tank to replicate and play far more nicely with 100% VG. That said a Resurrector and Bounty Hunter in a tank is a match that I drool over. In fact it was that combo that made me a vaper rather than someone that vaped.

Never been a cinnamon fan so never an issue and guess by my 2nd week I had BH and Bobas in the house and they still haven't left. Have added more staples from NLV but the only real change is the quantities I buy.

The reason for the hardware acceleration was due to the wife initially showing an interest and stealing an Ego C battery. Through error that left me stranded at work vapeless for a few hours and that was not ever going to happen again. Enter the 18650's that have been the mainstay of my vaping since. Guess that has been the major change for me going from Ego's to 18650/18490/18350 APV's really. I was determined not to go down the cigalike route initially and being stranded enforced that.

The next phase is in planning and execution with DIY and genesis atty's replacing carto's. The more I use them the more I find inconsistencies that are not present in my atty's. I know that a lot of people rely on them as I do at the moment but I do like the idea of just replacing the wick and kanthal for pennies a go after initial investment and the reports of cleaner flavour. Whether they will replace my bottom feeders we will see. Actually I am really interested to find out as well.

All up in your grill..
When I was smoking I was angry even when surrounded by hot chicks

Then I got an e-cig and was only mildly angsty:

Now I am happy as a clam but my setup doesn't fit in my pocket any more:

On the bright side? My employer gives me unlimited vape breaks.

Man, I remember when I got my Provari I just new that I had graduated! Now, I am realizing that may have just been high-school graduation. Here we go again! I am applying to the University of Zenesis for the fall...I just have to pass the Genesis entrance exams!

 :matrix: :hubba:

Be about that time I start that course. Think I will do a prep first though.

People kiss me a lot more often!

I realized I like both cartos and atomizers depending on the mood I am in.

I started with a ecig that looks like a cigerette. Then I realized I wanted more and went to the Icon which is a 14500 powered unit. Then I went to the 18500 and 18650 units realizing I wanted even more. Perhaps next I go to sucking on my exhaust pipe??

It sounds like I am still in the early stage as I still like trying juices and havent gotten to the point of mixing my own just yet (not sure which flavors are my fav yet!).

Started with a 401, then 801, and finally a original 650 eGo, thought I found nirvana...:)
Bought an adapter to give 808 cartos a try.

Tried a 14500 3.7v tube mod, nicer but wouldn't last all day, went with a 18650 3.7v tube,
and life was good, would never use a box mod, high V....

Tried a wide variety of attys and cartos in every thread (adapters) and type, filler
filler-less, even G4s..

Tried a 4.8v NiMh 18650 replacement and was wowed!!

Built a 4.8v NiMh box mod for longer battery life and never looked back, :vapor:
