In any way ecig related, how have you evolved or changed while vaping, or from before you started...

I have sworn off cinnamon juices, as of today, and cartos over the past couple weeks. I also advocate for some people to try WTA, now.

I think as vapers we evolve just as quickly as the devices and juices we use. What has changed for you, or what has not changed?

The hugest way that I changed is that when I started vaping, I was addicted to buying and trying all different types of e-liquid from everywhere and couldn't wait to try flavors. Now I strictly DIY three main flavors that I love and refuse to waste money on buying already made juices. It's soo much cheaper. Also, I do not use cartomisers, especially dual coil cartomisers. I prefer atomizers and clearomizers when it is not convenient to drip.

When I started vaping, about a year and a half ago, I had to have anlog tasting liquid with massive TH. I still do some tobacco flavors but not 'analogy tasting' flavors. I also enjoy some fruit flavors. If you would have told me when I started that I would be vaping watermelon and strawberry I would not have believed you. TH is also not much of a concern for me anymore, I actually prefer a bit milder TH these days.

As far as gear goes, I started with the look-a-likes. I was constantly charging batteries and changing and filling cartomizers. Vaping was a full-time job!!! At the time, I couldn't ever imagine myself vaping a mod. It was important to me to have something that looked like an analog. Now I use a Provari with a tank. I load the tank and fresh battery in the morning and I never have any worries the whole day. I must say, things are much much easier these days than they used to be. :)

Almost 2 years ago, I used atomizers. I hate them!!! Then I went to just cartomizers...still love them to this day. When the cartomizer tanks first hit the market, I believe was produced by vaporescence.com, I loved it even more. However, I have since gone to all phiniac tanks and did away with the poly. A huge improvement. Nice crisp clean taste with a glass tank at 6V.

I smoked for 45 years and on March 1 2012 I started with a lookalike, May 1st I purchased a Kgo and some clearomizers. In between I raised the nic level to 24mg/ml which helped greatly with getting me off of cigs and I have now reduced it back to 18mg. I feel 10 years younger than I did in February and I am looking forward to many many years free from smoking.:toast:

I started with a 510 lookalike, and vaped my way through a whole pack of cartridges my first day...I was floored when the gal who introduced me to vaping got me hooked up with some juice and a cartomizer. I thought, hey I'm the shizzle now! I've only been vaping about a month and a half, but spent more money than I care to admit experimenting with bigger batteries and mods, as well as a bazillion juices---only to find this week that I am in vaping heaven with my Ego Twist topped with a clearo that's filled with my own DIY juice.

When I started looking at mods, I swore I'd never be caught dead walking around with one of "those things", now I mostly use my small bottom feeders when I'm out and about, and it's in my pocket all day at work.

I've come a long way baby! (lol from that old Virginia Slims commercial)

hmmm that commercial reminds me how nicely a pack of smokes fit into a tiny handbag, nowdays I carry a much bigger bag to accomodate every vaping supply I don't want to be without should some emergency/armageddon/the rapture occur and I can't get home to my vaping bliss.

LOL, Zooker. I sure hope if the rapture occurs, I don't need my vaping supplies anymore! Anyhow, I will be off analogs for a year on June 8th, and I am finally starting to get settled into figuring out the cheapest bulk orders of hardware/diy supplies to get without wasting anymore money. I admit I wasted alot of money trying to find my all day vape(s) and what hardware I liked, etc. I also have purchased backup upon backup of mods of all different types. I now feel ready to retire into vaping bliss heaven on some sort of regimen of ordering hopefully. ha! But then again, once I get my tax refund next year ya never know if I might get the urge to order a Darwin or something else! lol.

I started with kgo, then lavatube constantly filling cartos like a fool! .. now provari and buzz pro with tanks. With juice 95 percent of the time I got unflavored going. Boring I know.

I got mad swag now with my killa skills. Seen?

lol gotta love these "back in the day" threads.

When I started vaping there was a handful of models that were all pretty much look a likes and a couple people that were making mods in their garages. Egos hadn't been invented yet, cartomizers were only available for 808s and were the "new" thing and tanks didn't exist. Everyone was coming up with ways to mod cartridges so they'd properly wick onto the atomizers.

We had the coffee straw mod, the pyramid tbag mod, the blue filter foam mod, the filterless "cut a hole in a rubber cap as a stopper" mod and a few less successful ventures.

The big battle was between whether or not 510s or 901s were the best vape and the majority of the threads on ECF were about the best way to really get an atomizer clean to make them last longer.

I feel like a crabby old lady on here sometimes when I see new people getting frustrated with their equipment and sometimes feel like giving the whole "when I was a kid we had to walk 10 miles to school.... in the snow.... without shoes.... uphill....both ways" speech lol

However, if I was just coming into vaping right now with all the choices available, my head would probably explode lol
