I don't know if this is a franchise but there are lots of places with the same name all over. Mandarin House Chinese Buffet used to have a smoking section. I took my Mon to eat there yesterday for Mothers Day.

( yes, I know Mothers Day was Sunday, but we go the day after, no crowds to fight, the prices are cheaper, better parking - just makes sense all the way - we do this with all major holidays)

Well they don't have the smoking section anymore and vaping is not expressly forbidden here by law. I thought I'd try out stealth vaping ( just as to not annoy other customers who would not understand) and found it works Great.

Here's what I did:

They use pretty big napkins. I folded one lengthwise and used it to hide my Riva 510 SE. With both elbows on the table holding the napkin in both or one hand whichever is more comfortable for you. You can casually put the top of the napkin up to your lips where it hides the tip of your e-cig. Take a puff and hold it for a sec. The napkin hides everything. Then slowly blow the vapor out into the straw of your drink as you hold the straw with your hand covering the top of the glass. This keeps any wild vapor In the glass - if you blow too hard you can get vapor come up out of the glass and bust you. If you blow slowly, the liquid droplets of vapor get absorbed into whatever your drinking. It doesn't change the taste of your drink or make it funky in any way.

This method worked awesomely. My wife and Mom, both of which know I vape, did not detect what I was doing until I told them. No one looked at me funny.

I look forward to trying this every place I go!

I took my wife out to breakfast today to the local IHOP and while I was waiting for her to finish up, I did a couple of stealth vapes. I did not try to hide anything, although I made sure that no huge clouds of vapor hung over our table. Nobody (not even my wife) noticed that I was vaping. I just wanted to see if I could get away with it, not that I NEEDED to vape. As I was walking out of the place, I had my eGo out and let out a rather large cloud of vapor as I exited the restaurant. The women who were sitting at the outside smoking area by the entrance gave me a strange look since if I was smoking, then I had to have been doing it inside, so I just took another puff from the eGo and they could see that it was not a cig that I was puffing on.

If you have to sneak around and vape in a napkin maybe you should just wait 10 minutes or so when your done with you meal.

What? and spoil all the fun? :)

When we go to a buffet we stay for about two hours. Sure I could have tried openly vaping in the place then explained to the owners that it is harmless and not the same as smoke but that's a hassle I don't want to have to deal with in the middle of my meal. I did it more out of respect for others. Stealth vaping can be an art form and fun.

Some people wouldn't dream of trying it because they are indoctrinated so by society not to make waves or do anything that even looks 'wrong'. Others are rebels and challenge the rules on a soap box. I feel my actions were a middle ground of these extremes and help provide information for those who wish to engage in this art.
