Looking to get a chrome provari and wanted to know about the durability of the finish?....thanks

I have the satin finish and while I wouldn't call anything "indestructable" it has taken drops on concrete without damage.
I've been told by a friend or two that the black/chrome units are not as durable. But that is how is goes with chrome... it can chip.
my black chrome does have a stratch already...was hoping the chrome is "tougher" than the black chrome finish..
any thing chrome is subject to little tiny fine scratches no matter how careful you are but if it was chrome instead of black chrome you could take a dremel to it and polish it but that seems like way to much work, my black chrome has a bunch of these fine scratches you can see them if you hold it up to the light if it wasn't black they would really stand out. but my satin I drop all the time and not a scratch on it.
