A couple of weeks ago I was walking round town and I could smell the smokers from a good few yards away. I thought that was it, my sense of smell was back. Boy was I wrong!!

Half an hour ago I went to the bathroom to blow my nose. OMG, I mean a massive OMG here!! Straight away I was hit by the smell of the soap, the shaving foam. I swear I can smell my toothbrush from the other side of the bathroom. I've been walking around my house totally amazed. Fabric conditioner, the laundry hamper (yuck, must empty it asap). I smell great, again fabric conditioner, my deodorant, the shampoo and the aftershave I used last night.
Into the garden, next doors roses, my lawn, next door's DOG.
My vape. I use 60% VG and up til now all I could smell was the VG, the same as the smoke machine at the nightclub. Now I can smell all the flavours, everything. I'm brewing a cup of tea right now and I can smell the tea in my living room.

There should be a warning about this. It's like a revelation and quite a shock. Noone warned me not one of you, and I'm gonna hold it against you for the rest of my days :p

It's sooooo ...... true, all of it!! Be warned!!

Why a warning?! This is such a great thing! After about 2 months of being cig free, my nasal cavity became a super power, lol. I love that I'm able to smell everything so much better. I can smell a cigarette from soooo far away. Blows me away that I used to smell like such a ...., haha. Glad your nose is back, bro!

Mine took a while, probably about four months, and I can't say it's returned to the point you described even after a year and a half.

Yes, I reduced the amount of scent I used when making soap, but not all that much, really. I do notice scents I didn't before, but none of it's knock-out level.

Yes, it took me about a month to develop a much better appreciation of my dog's farts.

Kidding aside, tho, it was about a week or two before I noticed my sense of smell getting better, mostly when I walked back into my house after being away for a day and smelling that smoked-in scent, and I think it pretty much peaked at around a month or so.

It's interesting, and still kind of cool, when I walk the dogs, I can smell when my neighbors are doing laundry now.
